No worries! I knew what you were saying, and I do agree that granularity
can be overdone. But that is also how we end up with genres like Kawaii Metal

Anyway, here's some more wild genres:
- Nintendocore - A broadly defined (As all these genres are lol) style fusing chiptune gaming music with hard punk or heavy metal. The genre is sometimes considered a direct subgenre of post hardcore, but we won't even go into what THAT even means. So.... basically nerdy metal.
- Solipsythm - Literally just solo music made on laptops...
- Neurofunk - Mixes drum and bass, techno, and/or house music with funk.
- Straight Edge - (throwback to my high school days X) "Anti punk" music that is just punk music about avoiding drugs.
- Sega - No, not Sonic beats. An island genre from Mauritius sung in Creole that originated from slaves. Similar roots music started in the US from slaves in areas with Creoles. Call it folk, zydeco, or blues... but the branches all come from the same tree.
Not to get political, but this attention towards creating labels that encapsulate a specific segment is similar to how the LGBTQ+ spectrum has grown to include more terms over the years as people drill down further into what they like/identify as. So really, this expansion and fusion of genres extends to music, games, life... everything. And thus, my second lesson no one asked for is over
