The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut - 30GB (50GB /w 4K Textures)
Man I forgot how much of a dragging feeling these type of games had after I put the Dragon Age franchise in the 100% complete list.
You start off with a single slash attack, you can't move while your swinging your blade (worst fact right there), so far I don't see anything that's going to do much more than give me a skill to teleport...not speed me up in battle and I'm a dual wielding character, my guess at what was a rogue style class.
There are alot of skills to choose from and 6 classes, so maybe others have a better style in this sense...but so far my character looks depressing and I might actually restart to test a few other types. Not half as depressing as not being able to actually choose Van Helsing, thats a different level of WTAF right there
The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsings
Child: Final Laf
Moving on (like the belmont clan)...game seems like its actually going to be pretty good, the few massive flaws I already mentioned aside (an no jumping...C'MON) once you have a decent arsenal under your belt--as long as you like the class you chose, or else your going 20 levels in reverse later down the road.
On a good note you can reset your skills for almost nothing so 'changing' your builds style once you unlocked the 2nd and 3rd tier is possible at least...surviving early on won't screw you mid-game, so theres that at least.
The graphics are what you'd expect with this type of game, maybe a bit more meh than dragon age origins IMO but more interesting so far as well...seems much more direct story based depending on your choices. You have a ghost as an NPC party member whos probably more agile ad useful than you are, which helps the early combat from being death or torture.
I found myself just searching for how to save and quit but I had other things to do at the time as well...still a bit too slow going for me these days early game, but I dont plan to uninstall it right away either because thats more me than the game right now.
Controller works good, the AI enemy are hard to get within range since your feet freeze when you attack and I feel like I'm slicing air even when I'm not sometimes, but I didn't get mauled and not notice either, so it works both ways.
I was hoping for better combat or at least some dash and slash skills like dragon age had (even dash would be nice) and it says you can dodge but I think its just stat based, not skill based.
I'm a little disappointed as of now, but thats entirely my lack of patience and only playing a handful of games like this, generally faster paced from the start.
I think its a decent game and I'm just not a decent reviewer because I don't even play half the games I know I want to play
And there ya have it folks...its good, I suck.
End of ADHD Review.
