I didn't enjoy the first game in this series, I actually caught it for a good price and refunded it because of horrible camera angles in towns...so if anyone else had the same experience its not like that in the second game--which unfortunately makes me wish I kept the first title for story sake 🤷‍♂️ too late now.

I played the prologue as Throne, a female thief who is basically enslaved to a more powerful and wealthy 'family' in her town, a family that basically adopts people for a thieves guild. A little cliche if your the type to read fantasy and play alot of RPG games, but ok...there's enough uniqueness to the story to ignore that little fact.

You start off with a comrade dying because a mission you were sent on went belly up, turns out you were sold out to the town guard before the mission even started and of course that doesn't go over too well as you realize they died while you were fighting off some more of the guards 🤬

You have a map action (think wild arms) that changes or can only be used depending if its day or night, in this case I can knock people out including on screen enemies and people blocking treasure...which is pretty badass especially seeing as you probably visit the same areas with different characters and have to acquire things different ways or wait until you have that character in your party if they cross paths.

I played almost a full 2 hours which is the max time you have on the demo (IIRC) just testing out things on the map, absorbing the story and of course making it through the area you start in which throws you straight into enemies from the start.

During every turn in battle you don't use the command you automatically charge up a meter (maximum of three) that increases the damage or success rate of your next action from a regular attack to skills like Steal (nice touch) which guaranteed 100% success rate for me if I used all three charges in that turn at least against the peon and boss soldiers I was able to fight.

You also have different types of weapons and different types you can wield depending on the characters which enemies may have a weakness too (stab, slash etc) as well as your skills having those and elements from what I can gather. Hitting an enemies weak point enough makes then stunned (only if they're not already) so when it wears off they do get an attack in and they can't be stun locked fully, adding some strategy to battles.

I found the battle system and the map actions made this game interesting enough to wishlist it even in just the prologue with a single character and I'm sure it gets better. Both were done extremely good in this game and I intend to grab it when I catch a nice sale.

Hasn't been possible lately, back awake again. Hope you have better luck (or just a better life) than me :LOL:

Gonna try to get some council online tom, I've just been sitting here wondering how many things a normal scared little sheep might complain about so I can be as absolutely evil as possible and get some immediate remediation in place and not sit through a court case in this hell.

I.E.

"I fear for my safety, this place is like a refugee shelter and his staff and their family might try to harm me for complaining about their fuck face friends."

"Guy said he couldn't fix the place while I was living here...so doesn't that mean I shouldn't be living here during any repairs? Or at all if its that bad?"

I'm hoping they make him put me up somewhere else or at the least one of his more expensive loft units for the same price.

I'm unfortunately not kidding about his staff and their idiot friends...except you know, walking into my armory to try and do me harm :LOL: I got more swords than John Wick 4 as you know and those are just what its legal to post lmao.
