They really need a new puzzle 😅
IMG_20230920_0131351~2.jpg

I was young when I made this, so the scaling is off pretty bad on my 4K monitor, most of my older apps actually resize in this situation but due to it being a shit ton of graphical stuff I sucked at I must not have taken that into consideration when making this program. The box 'should' be the picture size exactly as well as the area where the pieces are located.

Nobody's perfect 🤷‍♂️

It loads any picture thats a supported format and turns it into randomized pieces...it came with about 146 different pokemon but I'm not posting that many pics

I couldn't even upload the hard difficulty as a full pic because it has so many colored pieces it was overkill for gala :ROFLMAO:

That...was unexpected to say the least :ROFLMAO:

Its kind of janky for modern times, but if your actually interested in it and willing to trust a program from me like you would a GA site...I could see about touching up the puzzle movement coding a little bit to be more user friendly and fixing the scaling problem and upload a copy for you...minus the entire set of pokemon pics, those are fucking huge because they are bitmaps.

They may be one of the few formats it can open honestly (it was made in Visual Basic 6--before Microsoft had permission to load JPG files)...thats something I won't add into such old code, I'd be better off making a new one before going through that  so you'd have to deal with that part unfortunately.

If it'll get used, I don't have an issue trying to fix up the flaws I can...it shouldn't be too much effort, but the file format is something I can't just whip into the old language it was made in heh.

EDIT:

That reminds me, I owe some users here a Tetris clone if I still have the original code for it lying around :ROFLMAO:

Or fail it and get 5 arp 🤓
Turns out my controller was plugged in and resting on a trigger but for the life of me I couldnt figure out why I couldnt pick up pieces and hold them they just kept dropping. 😯 🤪😁 Timer ran out. 🤓
Thats actually part of what I would need to fix lol.

It selects the piece and shows a preview of whats selected at the bottom and places it when you click again (no visual dragging), which is just how it was designed at the time...but for some stupid reason it won't allow you to swap pieces that are ON the puzzle already...thats just a plain fuck up on my part :ROFLMAO:

I embarrass myself...even as a kid 😅

EDIT:

At least it doesn't even recognize a controller, although i did know how to add support even back then, its a fucking mouse based game.

I'm surprised AWA recognized your controller during a puzzle tbh.

Ooh ooh, I wonder if I can run my old ass games like Tetris not tetris through steam without adding actual controller support like some lame ass devs do on modern games lol. I think my Tetris HAD controller support, but Idk if it would recognize all modern controllers 🤔

This is just interesting enough to try

Ah yes, I forgot about the user friendliness part, they looked good to me especially in a puzzle format (y) so I wanted to give it a shot. No worries(y), I'm good:) (I got AWA Puzzles to keep me company forever😩😭:ROFLMAO::alien: ), the fact that you made this yourself is so cool and also the Tetris clone as well.(y)(y)

Apparently, no one warned all these writers that this game is not a visual novel, and the main emphasis there is on dynamics, in which the problems of low-poly models will not be much visible. And also the size of the screen, when it will generally look like eye candy in a portable.
Besides, most of the laughing people either can't afford to buy the game at launch at full price, or don't have a powerful enough PC to run it at least like that.
And yes, patches are existed for the game, such a surprise!

I tried MK 1 for switch and visuals are pretty good, considering its 35 gb with cutscenes etc.
