Ephemeral Tale - 385 MB
This game was better than the last one, even though its a failed Dragon Warrior clone
You start off selecting your characters 'skin', I say skin because it makes literally no difference in your stats at all, from mage to fighter. Did I mention I hit my first glitch here? You can cancel your choice or reaffirm it during the opening text across the screen, and of course you have to choose one option which means your either going back to character select or your watching the text all over again lol.
But wait, theres more
I've ended up in two different caves, one only once starting the game multiple times over and when I hit the one random one I took o a Mimic (bad idea at level 1 as any RPG fan knows heh)...it killed me of course and I ended up back at the OTHER caves campfire

like what the fuck?
The only items that dropped at all, and alot did...were chest armor, alot of it, and no other types at all lol.
The skills seem lackluster and boring, there are maybe 6 that are actual skills (you may only be able to choose 3 out of 6) and the rest are stat boosts, coming down to two 'possible' attacks, heal/taunt and then some auto recovery skills at the very end.
Now for an indie game at 300 MB I can accept the skill tree, but this game is buggy as hell...I ended up named 'Hero' because no button worked to go back characters before I hit a second button that worked as confirm, glitches pretty much all over just loading the game and then you add the fact its gonna be forever till you have a healing skill even and thats one of the mid-game ones...and I'm extremely under impressed.
I can't say it won't be enjoyable if your patient enough to work around the bugs and don't mind an arsenal of heal and double slice the entire game, I'm not.
End of ADHD review
Right now I'm missing my NES console heh.
