If you don't like Turn-based games then you'll be disappointed.
I love turn-based games, but I'm not too fond of some things specific to Larian that always ruin my immersion and I almost rage-quit BG3 when I saw one of the biggest BS that I hate in Larian's RPGs - the moment after I created my character, they asked me to make another character...
RPGs are all about immersion. You create your hero and that's YOU, the interactive movie with you in the centre. There are some RPGs that are about the whole party you create (Icewind Dale 1 and 2) or where you have a hero with his own name, personality and everything, but they're so well written that you can immerse yourself in that world (like Geralt in WItcher)...
And then there is Larian who always insists on creating 2 characters as heroes of your story. I hate it! I'm not split personality to have 2 voices in my head talking with each other. Their games are like watching 2 complete strangers doing whatever they do with the player (you) being just a bystander, watching all those characters you don't care about because there is no "you" in that story.
There are some other things I don't like about Larian like being bombed with an abundance of lore and info about the world, history and everything in, basically, the character creation stage of the game. Ffs, I want to explore and learn about the world at my own pace, not be trapped in the virtual library telling me things. Show, don't tell!
So, back to BG3, I don't know if that other character will show up and if I'll be (again!) forced to pretend like I have a multiple-personality disorder but if that happens, I'll actively blacklist Larian on all my platforms so that I don't suffer with those things in the future.
