Being lazy is the downfall of the human race, it kills our memory, ask yourself how many phone numbers you actually know these days compared to back in the day?
I find myself typing the emoji in things it doesn't work for because I actually find it easier and I have an emoji icon right above my keyboard on screen...forget using gala itself.
I obviously didn't need to learn the BBCode but I chose too, same as I didn't need to learn how to program--but its fucking useful, especially when your wanna be 1,337 which is how I read that at first

I'm fine with being lazy in almost every other part of my life, so don't feel bad...its just the more you know about how shit is done the less you need someone else to tell you whats wrong or how to fix it. Your far more handy than me as far as general repairs from what I know.
You learned because it made your life easier in another way, same as most people. I really learned programming because I wanted to made an RPG but after learning enough I realized I could make all kinds of stuff to make my PC life easier or safer and I actually found it fun just like I do gaming for some odd reason
All I'm saying is we all got our thing dude, I wasn't trying to roast you...but the more you know the better off you are in any situation and we all have different versions of simple and whats a hassle, I hate clicking and touch screens
