The game has been out for almost 10 years and still no speedrun record in "Any %, Showered in All Camps" category. :(
🎉 Congrats to the winner 🎉

I thought I owned this...like twice now. Must have skipped it when I got it for Epic, I'll roll the dice 🤷‍♂️

Cool thanks for the explaination! Japanese looks so fashinating, I'd like to learn it, I know some words but have no I idea how to write them. hehe
Have you ever tried this game? Learn Japanese To Survive! Trilogy on Steam
I haven't played them yet, but I did manage to collect all 3 just by trading here on the Forum.
While they do look fun, the Hiragana and Katakana wouldn't be much of a challenge for me, it would be good practice though, because sometimes it takes me a little bit to remember how to draw one. To be more specific, some of them look alike:
Hiragana: はHA けKE
Hiragana: ろRO るRU
Hiragana: フFU ウU
Katakana: アA マMA

HA can become ばBA and ぱPA (BA looks like it has a little quotation mark next to it, PA looks like a little circle is next to it). You have to enlarge those with a large font to really see the difference clearly, and those same marks apply to other characters like せSEZESAZA
I've been practicing those as I read the words in the Kanji book, they spell out the pronunciations, and I study the spelling and remember the differences that way. Honestly, I trace the characters by pointing at the screen and drawing them with my finger as I pronounce it (whispering), it's recommended that you draw it with pen and paper over and over again, but I think it's roughly the same. :sneaky:

I did study Hiragana and Katakana seriously at first to get to a decent level with it, then I started doing what I said above as practice (so that's my advice to you if you're going to try to learn from a video game or whatever, take it serious at first, then game as practice).

The games have random beginner words, so that would be helpful (for me) to brush up on those, the real challenge and learning experience for my level would be Kanji Combat. Kanji is where Japanese starts to get really challenging, I'm studying those from a book, not taking it too seriously, but when I get a little more experience with Kanji, I'll start playing the games and jump back into my Genki book (which I abandoned after the Kanji started annoying me). :p

Which would you recommend as a starting point if I were to give them a shot (I collected them specifically for this reason--an RPG that teaches seemed interesting), I haven't tried them yet because I haven't honestly had a fucking breather in life to learn anything I might 'want' too learn.

I've been studying my local laws for over a month now...something I never wanted to learn but picked up by getting dicked around constantly...I had a general notion before to a good degree, I'm starting to think I should get my damn degree at this point :ROFLMAO:

Obviously Kanji is not the way to go first...I would think just from how many gamers usually learn it Katakana might be the starting choice, but I have no real idea obviously. Just going by popular consensus.

Ya, didn't pop with the search term batman 🤷‍♂️

I'm going to guess and say its Arkham Origins or the Telltale series. Just realized I was missing origins myself and I activated the triple pack after owning Arkham Knight (which game me nothing but a slap lol)
Kinda feels like Guardians of the Galaxy but with bad guys(tm).
Pretty much, I have a hard-on for harly

Probably because I'm just as nuts lmao

How did the council/lawyer session go?

Can't believe Steam or the publishers get away with this in EU.
And those bundles that charge you full price even when you own the games. 🤬

I was referred to another lawyer who seems to be good at what they do and also does some pro bono work...was going to call today, but they decided to continue their "routine pest control" today even after I posted a multi-lingual sign on my door saying how illegal it was for nearly a week 🤦‍♂️ so I'm sick as fuck again rn.

Seems it has to wait till tomorrow, i'll be calling them and the health department as soon as I feel good enough to clean my place up and think clearly.

So far a doctor has laughed at them, a real estate business owner, and every other person I've told...I've been laughing at them lol.

I can't see all those people being completely shocked by the way it was handled and getting a different reaction in a courtroom...but finding a lawyer and figuring out exactly which type of case to pursue it as, along with filing the paperwork with no vehicle is turning out to be harder than the actual legalities

I'll let you know once I do...but the reality is it that it can't possible turn out any better for them than what I first offered them personally and politely not to pursue it and they can't escape that part.

What they've already done can't be undone and no matter what they do won't change the fact...and I have all the proof I need for that--I just want to tear them apart completely or it'd likely be over already heh.

EDIT:

Remember the three stooges? You were literally on the money, larry and curly are spraying on moe's orders.

I wonder if they realize theres a fine attached for each individual involved that cost more than the exterminator would have

Get away with it here too...sometimes I get a gift when it happens, others I don't...same with the bundle situation. Its always a toss up what i'll see when I go to one lol.
