I think its worthwhile but not to everyone equally. You're not always sure exactly what games you're going to get with the Humble Choice each month which is the main issue whether a person might love it or not. We are all unique...just like everybody else
Its a great way to build up your library if you enjoy playing games regularly and enjoy trying new ones. And with the annual discount they just gave at $99 which is only $8.25 per month, its a really low cost if your not able to spend loads of money on games. There are sometimes triple-A titles on offer, usually just a bit older but those in that higher cost tier you may never have thought to buy otherwise in that case. They now give 8 games so thats a bunch of games for a little over a dollar each which is a good value assuming if you browse what they've given before you would not have skipped regularly. If you only like a few games or a specific type of game only, then the month to month plan is likely a better option. That can be skipped and some people do receive a discounted coupon if say they got it for 3-4 months then wanted to skip a particular month, but the coupons are not guaranteed every month to compare doing that apples to apples vs the guaranteed price for the annual plan. The skip button is active in my annual plan so that can be done, but I havent paid attention to if it just extends your billing for the renewal next year by one month. You can cancel that annual plan and just have the remaining months left and no auto renewal if you want to go month to month after that.Both the monthly and annual plan give you access to something like 74 drm free games to keep once you download them, even if you skip or cancel. They used to also have humble published games in rotation in the app and that added a lot of value. But by not doing so anymore, they may now offer some of those to keep in the monthly bundle or offer better games in the bundle as they focus only on the 8 games included each month. For example unpacking is a humble published game and you get it forever this month in the bundle vs temporary if it was in the app.
