what if the key isnt working or fake then?
That's why more should check
If user is notified that they won, preferably by both email and on site, they'll sure check the key. And if the key is not working - I'm pretty sure everyone will gladly mark it as bad. It worked and still works like this on every other giveaway site.
Or wait the 3 days, and if the winner is an idiot, get auto/requested feedback + give it elsewhere.. If you can't remember to check, you simply don't give a flying fuck

mmm i still have 2 iomega zip drive, 1 in scsi and the other in usb
nice piece of history :) I never owned one iomega zip, I actually have an external hdd from Iomega 320gb.
I remember when I used to split bigger videogames in more floppies 1.44MB each and when I went to internet pub to download quake or doom mods on my floppies. I didn't have internet at home at that time.

I had that too ! Those disks were always full of errors and unusable at one point.
Mine still work, or did, can't speak for now.

I never got an error on one of those in all these years.

You are implying that user knows that they need to check, to begin with. Let's say a new user founds those giveaways. He enters giveaway, waits, don't get any notification, and logically assumes that they didn't win. Especially if user seen other similar services, including previous giveaway site from indiegala. Uses don't expect that developers are idiots and expect user to remember when entered giveaways end, and check if they won or not.

First of all, MANY ga places don't inform you with an email.. But even then.. If you can't remember 2 places then you enter 1000 stuff; and those that do this DON'T forget to check.
A "casual" dropping by and assuming every ga on the planet is the same, makes 0 sense
The majority doesn't even give a valid email
In the "real" world you manually go check if you won a raffle.. The don't call you to tell you you won
In a new place people *should* read how stuff work.. It's 1 button. Check and voila! Nobody asked them to "run" a marathon on a rope backwards with their hands on the pedals of a unicle while below is lava ffs

We had enough trolls already 🤦‍♂️

At least they're actually talking sense for once.
Have you gone mad? xD
