You people scare me...even if I could still use a mouse and KB without my hand being in pain I likely wouldn't very often

And DEF not for racing...I though they were asking if getting racing games without a wheel was worth it...not getting a controller
I use the controller only for sports games: basketball, football, hockey... Not for golf though - I prefer KB+mouse precision for that.

I'm not starting an argument about this...well I kind of am I suppose actually lol. But let me be clear I respect ppl who can game that way first at least.

I'll never understand how they think its the definitive more precise way to play though...especially a KB, they have obviously never seen the code for KB controls, or taken into account the diagonal directions that are 'usually' missing or awkward at the least.

My only issue is movement with KB, it can never be as precise as analog, as a benefit though I also realize KB users have an array of extra mappings (which are usually cheap combinations for ease of play), but even doing a gamepad calibration you can easily see that a KB could never move as accurately without using half the keys

In contrast a mouse seems more precise but thats dependent on the games code and the calibration or game settings really and its still not really as dead on as you could be with a gamepad, neither as dead on as you could be if they made a good gun for PC heh.

They like the multifunction buttons is my opinion, which I get...but all that HB is more accurate crap is a load of shit, its really more than most games only allow 4 directions and it makes it 'seem' more accurate because you can't hit 2 at once.

Sorry just ranting from a programmers point of view who can't play on either to save my life.

But kb AND mouse code are a fucking nightmare at the lower levels, something a joystick actually isn't because thats its principle purpose, not clicking on folders in the OS or typing documents lol.

Older games I understood since it was the 'way' it was done. Sadly still is half the time because devs and even companies suck at life...but these days it just makes no sense. The mouse maybe, the KB is fucking useless as hell and old dirty code.

paused
Does anyone know if Cuphead was ever in one of the monthly Humble Choices?
never bundled
Who even does that? Not even AS fans xD For 80 euros you play more than 20h :p
played MW2 open beta for like 15hours and kinda enjoyed it at the time, especially the first hours, but after that, I could not play it. Probably even less than 15...

So yeah usually campaign for those games it's like 5h more or less... This is terrible considering you can buy some good games way cheap just buying the definitive editions for Age of Empires 1,2,3 can give you at least 81 hours of gameplay excluding any multiplayer which in comparison makes COD feel like a clown those games are 15$ together or even less so there are plenty games to add into 80$ budget

Any game where the point is to click a specific point in the screen particularly is obviously meant for a mouse., or a glock zapper

Lemmings for example, good fucking luck with a gamepad if it supported it at all...but considering its a target reticle like a shooter, it could be done just like a shooting game. Although even I don't suggest it.

Games with a target on screen are mouse made and it makes sense even for shooting games.

Which just kind of answered my question...they use KB because the can't use a controller along with the mouse and most KB and Mouse screaming weirdos are MP war gamers :ROFLMAO:

I never finished that particular game, lack of artist lol. Controller support I'd have to do again because of XInput not existing back then
I'm accepting donations for Suicide Guy Sleeping Deeply and Suicide Guy the Original before I kill myself

Games can be coded for whatever direction.. There is a mouse too :p

And yes, they should support controllers

They are very different but controllers aren't superior :p

Although, there are some things they can do that a KB can't

Dunno.. For me pc is always K/M. Controller is for the couch :p Consoles

Tbh, I have no problems with either but some really hate them xD

Another reason...I always forget people game on laptops

The mouse ball is actually designed like analog sticks in the first place (particularly trackball), the kb being used for directionals though is like a stick shift :ROFLMAO:

For me it is mouse +kb all the way :D I grow up with them, I could play only console games with controllers and few pc games as open world games as Gta or fighting games. I tried Fps games with controller and I'm half accurate then playing with kb+mouse. At higher levels look competitive tournaments I never seen anyone playing pc games with controllers. With mouse you can also change mouse DPI while playing with mouse button to have more accuracy.

You can also adjust the controller the same way...but gun games don't add the functionality because most people have this thought process lol.

Whats the difference? PC vs Console? My PC IS A console on my gaming drive...it just has windows under it
