Its 'technically' smut, but the smut aspect is shit...I enjoy the character collection and thoughtless battles..every once in awhile you need to actually be strategic, that keeps its enjoyable. The smut is garbage

A. It's a sometimes-fun sometimes-tedious poor man's version of Vampire Survivors.
B. Considering the cost to play, weak rewards, and time commitment needed, it seems absolutely not worth it to play.

Yeah, I barely played this on SNES back in the day, also on Genesis (at my friend's house) for just a little while

To put it easily, the Genesis one was more of an action game while the SNES one was more of a platformer, even though both games utilizing platforming throughout their respective gameplay.

also I learned that Ninja Gaiden was different too.

The Genesis' one? Well, it actually wasn't 'cause the game hasn't been released after all, but yeah, it was more of a belt brawler than action platformer. Funny enough, the original arcade Ninja Gaiden was a beat'em up too instead of a platformer, but who cares, EVERYONE remember only the one (well, not the ONE, but the trilogy, but anyways) with stupid difficiulty and flawed controls.

Contra is certainly not Metroidvania, I gave up even using anything as a basic reference when gamestop told me Mass effect was an RPG, my mind will never recover from that moment...but its definitely not classified as that...or it shouldn't be, any more than Mass Affect should be called an RPG (and yes I know, choices blah blah bullshit)
