This needs some context, thats because google is doing away with half the ADs and cookie tracking.

Its also a new programming 'manifest' which means it will simply force programs to adhere to it, its a functionality sacrifice for security.

Mind you, its still a load of shit, but there is ALOT more behind the scenes than this little tweet says.

Manifests are bare minimum documents that describe a program, version, etc...for programming languages they allow calls into different versions of libraries and functionality.

I can't say how it will turn out with a server manifest in place under an obviously hungry corporation these days, but I'd bet people find a way around it.

From what I read it limits how many block lists they can use, in which case I assume they will create multi-layer blockers to access multiple lists...thats what I would do from a programming perspective if it was possible.
