2FA can be bypassed or abused if your a fool and they are skilled...but its not very common.

How did recovery work? All my ballbusting aside I think i'm going tp be the one that advises you go the extra mile now that your back in (such as log out all previous devices), change all pw associated with the recovery account and linked to your steam.

This is one of the few accounts worth something to hackers, you really don't want them hiding in the background on a logged in device or with access to the recovery options even for ten minutes...just my two cents as someone who does this kinda shit for a living and used to be on the red team (hacker side) 🤷‍♂️
