many reasons : not showing they're selling bad games , punish the dev, week attempt to avoid speculation over those games = people selling steam accounts with pricey games

no, steam account can't be transferred....that'all.......only stolen
we bought games licence of use, not the games....same for music on cd, vinyls/films on dvd/br...if the support die, whe have to buy an other license throught a new cd/dvd/br/vinyls
digital goods are interesting somewhat cause no need to care about physical cycle of life....but they're still not ours

I forsee this changing when a few years pass.. Because it's a loophole + valve's terms mean shit IF they against laws
