I'm with you on this...and I honestly doubt it.Do they even make non smart TVs now? Probably only the cheapest low quality ones, or expensive high end ones. I'd be surprised if anything consumer grade, and affordable, wasn't Smart. All the ones I see either say smart, WebOS or Google.
I never liked the smart features so never put mine online. It exists as a screen and nothing more for me. If I could get rid of the startup screen, and input banner, then it would be perfect. Previous TV had a service menu to disable the startup, but my current one doesn't.
My PC has no onboard internet except the lan and even finding a motherblard without it is almost impossible, even overclocker grade. I never liked my crap having more idiot features than it needs because of the idea that I may not be able to shut it off and I can always add it myself. Thats not the case with smart stuff, but the same basic concept...my microwave doesnt need to know the weather and my fridge doesnt need to change the channel...I would add a roku if I wanted internet.
