As usual, same people are surprised that people eat frogs' legs, calmly eat pork blood sausage, cook hooves and kneecaps, smoke pig tails or ears as a snack, or make fermented vegetables such as cabbage, tomatoes or watermelons.

In my area, snails are sold in almost any store (usually in fish markets for some reason), frogs' legs have to be searched a little, but they are also on sale. I don't think their situation is different.
