What do you have against Mass Effect?

Walking into gamestop for the very last time...asking for a game like final fantasy or tales of/trails and being recommended the first game...with an alien rocket launcher looking GUN searching for an RPG. i never went back again lmao.

I specifically asked for a game like those types, not just an RPG. Mass Genre ruined Genres by wanting and succeeding in being everything by meeting bare minimal requirements and actually being nothing but a two bit shooter with a fucking ren'py style choice menu (minus the rollback to boot) that did nothing meaningful in the game...and thts what let it fall under the RPG category originally.

Game is with a popular name because of that exact reason...you asked for ANY type of game and Mass Genre was in the list you got back. I despise it...not only for that (mainly but not only) but for being trash on top that everyone still loves because it has a popular name going...there were fifty better game of its style at the time, hell before its time on ps2, they woulda been a better match for the bazooka they tried to sell me. I regret not buying it for the gun, I would have sold the game
