Not me this time...as much of a racing buff as the forum users make me out to be...I actually HATED racing games on home console or PC before coming here back in the day 😅

Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Remaster was my change of heart...and i've been racing on PC ever since.

I don't think the Initial D games were that great. They didn't really feel like racing. It was more like a scripted thing, where you tried not to make mistakes. You couldn't push the other cars, acceleration was slow, and you got punished for the smallest mistake.

Some old standout racing games for me were NFS U2, so many customization options, and the drifting was fun. Juiced, something about the driving felt realistic, compared to the arcadey NFS, or boring with massive understeer Gran Turismo. Also Re-Volt, which had RC cars and tracks and environmental objects to scale.

I also remember enjoying Burnout, which wasn't really about racing, but more smashing into things like Angry Birds.

I actually liked crazy taxi back in the day which had almost no point unless you played it like a sim...except to drive like a psycho.

Ya but i'm bankrupt from buying the freebies before they were free.

Epic is literally on a humble choice repeat spree which is why I own them all. I dont even care for Ghostrunner :LOL:

Hot Wheels is actually a really good racer for the style it is, one of the best i've played.
