I forgot to mention that some new company called Comet (a.k.a Microsoft #6 Monopolizer) is making a browser, not only powered by AI, as well as training it claiming that people only use AI for work related tasks and they want to know about your life habits to better train AI to be useful 🙄 but I believe they intend to try to make people pay for it in more ways than scraping all their data :ROFLMAO:

I curse the entire 14 person mentally retarded userbase they might actually have for helping them achieve that goal openly accepting it. I forgot to mention it because I know how much users everywhere I talk to value their privacy...it was totally unimportant lmao.

And that camera app is becoming less likely to be opened by the second, I'm considering replacing it with a 3rd party app...hell, at this point i'm considering just making my own to see how deep into the Android SDK you need to dig before finding options to shut that crap off  assuming its not part of the damn OS kernel.

Just got the last of the Spanish translation earlier (while both me and joel were powered off in a thunderstorm lol), I'm getting things ready for release now, so you can expect it tomorrow or the next day while ivo is around.

Ya know, the like 3 people here who might actually play it

Don't worry...we know this isnt an AVN crowd, hell I wasn't too big on most VNs myself these days--they were just porn except for the rare few gems I found like CK from my mini game and Bad Memories (BM)...and the few that are extremely popular and both of us agree are just too damn good to be ignored.

All these acronyms want to make me say that I labeled ours SOW since the beggining and use TSOW as the mobile port  so if it ever picks up its probably gonna get called SOW lmao.

I won't go into the long list except to say Eternum is a miracle of Honey Select and Being a Dik, is incredible...but the devs a fucking douche and I only speak that games name to spit on him--as a supporter he slapped long ago...not like I go out of my way to do it either like I do to praise the other devs, but zero respect.

I just copied our game on my virus drive...where I still foolishly use unren just because i'm lazy to decompile it and make sure the files meant to be removed actually are (like the mini-games)

Well that part worked like it was supposed too...but, I just realized at some point I named the MC fuckin DiddlePuff during testing and I died laughing at my own dumb ass shit :ROFLMAO:

Gifted Games Reviews #6: Dredge

Have you found whatever it is you’re looking for?

The ocean is calling, and we’re here to answer the call! Under our guidance, a brave sailor will visit many islands, help people catch and deliver their food, and fulfill their wishes if there’s some time left. Many treasures are lost to the sea and waiting to be found… But beware, adventurer, for the night is dark and full of terrors! Nah, I’m just kidding — Dredge is one of the coziest games I’ve ever played. Or is it? I encourage you to find the answer on your own. My modest part is, as always, to present you with the pros and cons I found.

Pros.
1. Music. It’s simply brilliant. From the starting screen to the credits, it fills you with… I don’t really know what adjective to use here. It gives everything that it should. It’s always there, but after a while, you won’t notice it apart from the game itself — they intertwine on every level. And – very important – it doesn’t begin to pall.
2. Plot. I’m not pointing to the events happening, but to how gently you’re guided through. Honestly, this game should serve as an example to all adventure games. In-game characters may point in the right direction, but you’re free to sail wherever, and it won’t stop you at all. Choose your own pace, your own favourite parts of the ocean, your favourite activities – and enjoy them.
3. Fishing minigame. Again, great implementation. At first, they’re new, pretty easy, you have time to look into the shapes of the fish and other things you reel in. And when it could get boring, you sail to a different region and it changes a bit, bringing a breath of fresh air. Then, after a while, you get a faster fishing rod, and catching time decreases accordingly. And you know what? Catching the fish doesn’t really force you to play that minigame — you can just sit and wait for it to be autocompleted.
4. Art style. I understand that some people may not like it being a bit pale, a bit simple, but I loved it. The large variety of fish species, colours don’t tire your eyes, fluorescent inhabitants look marvelous at night…

Cons.
0. I can start mumbling about how the plot or ending could’ve been better, but I just don’t want to because my time in it was so great. So there’s no real cons from the perspective of a casual gamer. But if I have to…
1. Achievements. After singing all those praises, I really wanted to 100% the game — it deserves it. Unfortunately, the developers decided to include DLCs achievements. That’s a flop. Don’t do it. Again, if you didn’t want to “get platinum,” you wouldn’t even think of that, so this con is pointed out with a stretch.

I bet if you read all this, you’d understand that I absolutely enjoyed the game. I was able to get to the ending in about 7–8 hours and spent the same amount exploring the world, finishing side quests, and catching all fish species. 95% on Steam? Yes, that’s about right. I encourage you to give this game a shot if you have it, or think of buying it if you don’t. A soothing experience is almost guaranteed. But don't tell me i didn't warn you about the darkness...

Thank you, silent_passenger, for this amazing giveaway!

He has another free game for you :p

I'm semi kidding, as I mentioned earlier I understand this isn't a huge VN crowd...but being as its our last public release before tier locks put time between updates much further apart for most people (you know to contact me if you really want to play), nevertheless, we won't be able to do this after this release without spitting on paying customers.

So this wasnt directed at you specifically, it just gave me the idea.

Here it is! We concluded Episode 1 of TSOW. It took us more time than we initially expected, thanks to DAZ being uncooperative, but we did it.

We have six new videos in this update, lots of new sounds and music, because those are important for every horror story, in my opinion, and we introduced almost all of the most important characters. Even Dev said he enjoyed the story, and he usually only cares about porn, so I guess I did something right.

As I said before, while this is the end of Episode 1, our story has just begun.

Unfortunately, this is also the last free Chapter release. All future chapter releases will be available only to our subscribers at certain tiers. So, that means the full Episode 2 will be available for free, but only when we release Episode 3 for our patrons.

If you're patient, you can wait, or if you are not, you can join us on one of our platforms.

Love you all, no matter what you decide and until the next time, I wish you all good fun and good health!

Devlog for v1.8

-Slapped Lov in the fucking head for his comment (I am completely and utterly...not very offended lol. When your right, your right.)

-Added multiple angle swapping scene playback (we only use 2 so far, but its designed for as many as we need)

-Broke the ren'py image gallery I was using (technically it was already broken and I just noticed)

-Replaced the image gallery with a quick hack to make sure you got your bonus renders...it will be fixed in the next update to not go back to page one, i'll llikely be replacing the entire gallery because it's irritating me and it was the very first thing I ever slapped together in ren'py.

-Fixed the font changing erratically halfway when switching back to english.

Ya, thats about all I can remember this time. I was busy working on multiple mini-games (see previous post/log), and thats likely going to be my focus right now once the gallery is fixed, unless Lov needs something specific.

I really killed ren'py during the initial release...now i'm just making shit up to keep my job lol.

I do want to give a shout out to Joel for all his hard work, the Spanish Localization is entirely up to date for the entire story already, no separate release just for Spanish.

Other than that I said everything I had to say a day or two ago...so i'll be over here kicking the shit out of ren'py and Lov if you need me. Till next time.

Glad to see everyones enjoying the now never to be sold again Dredge, considering I just activated it off HC

Mental Note

Amazon is literal developer suicide...and HC isnt much better.

I mean if all you care about is people playing your game or getting known...which is all any dev really should care about, its great. But what it does to sales after the fact 🥶 i'd still be wary to do that.

Just a small notice for users who intend to use the trade system it won't work only to list games, send offers, but you can't accept.
I'm honestly surprised your still trying. You one of those live by the trade die by the trade kinda gamers? I met one person like that before, I dont understand it, but I can respect it.

Theres alot to be gained from being a good patient trader (so the opposite of ivo basically lol)...even.without being a scab. If you don't go totally batshit insane...I have to say i'm with ivo on this one personally.

I'll probably attract their attention. At least they fixed the send offers problems. Now, you can't open the trade by right-clicking because it redirects you to the trades page, and you can't accept either because you get error 510, if I remember correctly.

I miss their trade system because it was the simplest one: list games, wait a few hours to days, receive offers, and receive the key instantly. Plus, different users compared to other trade platforms, even if they moved all to LesTrades/SteamTrades.

Is there really no good place left.to do it with barter gone? or did you just like IGs system?

Has the trading dried up as horrible as I think it has without barter around?

Isnt that the guy from barter who was trying to replace it?
Oh no, it's the barter VG copy, but not gonna lie, it got a little bit better, and now it's showing prices from GG.Deals and probably many more aspects changed. The new influx of users that came after the barter closure motivated them to create a better platform
