No I think he went into hemorrhagic shock being bashed by the user who is actually working with another VN on their writing (huge surprise), I've seen them in one of my game threads being thanked for it
Too much stress took the poor guy out.
He'll be back once he calms down i'm sure...laughing at this.
Its going to keep happening until he realizes his own talent and stops second guessing himself unfortunately

I've played.literally almost every single VN that exists in the last...forever. At the least checking out the smut...he wasn't wrong there--but my reasoning are that most of them are garbage, so I look for decent renders or any renders that might interest me first, since I do play them for smut as well.
Believe me when I say this, and its not to stroke his ego, we actually have a good fucking VN going.
it hasnt picked up because he's pacing the smut factor--which is a good thing, but it negates the early sales because alot of users do the same EXACT thing I do and they're not finding any good porn (meaning outright sex) yet.
We knew this when we started...slow crowd but loyal crowd, rather than wham bam, spank you ma'am.
Today was just trolling or seeing how we reacted...there wasnt a sensible comment in the entire forum, but one of them got a rating removed that was negating a bad one from the first day...which pisses me off too, but it was done intentionally because it was (by the site rules) an invalid review.
The user who brought it up was an ass (same user)...I mean we only had 2, its not like we were rolling on weak reviews, and they might very well go and write a proper one once they realize...who knows. It was a dick move, but the site did what they're technically supposed to do, so fighting it was a moot point.
I take it as a compliment...took us only 6 months and 2 reviews to concern somebody enough to pull that move
Unfortunate truth is we're competition in a heavy market...and alot of the users there are loyal to certain devs or games to a crazy point...until we have a big crowd going, this is just expected.
Like everything its gotten a bit grimy over time as far as people go.

Today we had compressed versions put up for the first time, torrent links, a few new followers, and a spike in attention, all in all I consider it a good day regardless
Just so your not all hanging on the drama factor, I see our game getting more attention--even bad attention, and I consider it a win. Things picked up a notch even if we didnt get as many comments...how many times can people say good luck or just give us a basic we're rooting for you...meh, I think the day went great for the game tbh.
The review might hurt for a little bit...but it'll bounce back...game can stand on its own, someone will look past it.
