Not to sound like a console fanboy, because I'm not, but at one point console games were better. Trying to get a lightgun, or any pre USB thing, to work on PC was a nightmare, very little supported it even if you could. Many coders/publishers treated PC as an afterthought. It's not that the PC was incapable, but the ports were intentionally? bad. That still happens now sometimes, the bad ports.

SF2, which I was a big fan of, absolutely sucked on PC, but on SNES it was pretty good. I bought the console just for SF2. At the time, the best PC SF2 game was a homemade game by a Korean guy, that also added a lot of other characters from various franchises. The version I got was in Korean, and I translated it myself. Again with the hex editing.
As everyone is well aware I was such an avid programmer when I first started learning how that it actually pretty much killed my gaming life entirely for years...you don't work on PCs that often and not know how to get things done, be it pirating or finding games to taking out another PC

So to say I was a console gamer by choice is an obvious fact, which also means I obviously agree with you. I don't think PC gaming had that much to offer until emulators were made and that still just played a console game...but it was also the same era when PC gaming started becoming worth it.

It just took me a few more generations to catch up because I still loved console just like any other console gamer to this day. I say they're idiots because I actually see the advantages to PC gaming from the price to the freebies to the graphics...but I also understand the love of the simplicity and die hard old habits that keep them on console.

These days its such a bad decision because the consoles are literally impossible to repair PCs and cost almost as much...if they were dirt cheap it wouldnt really be such a foolish move to biy them. And the games, again, and again.

Thats what broke me, buying the same game for the next gen Playstation was the straw that I snapped in half with.

Speaking of stupid computers...you figure all these cell phone addicts would be use to it, gotta go...I was close to crashing and now my phone ia forcing a fucking update windows style. Ttyt fellas.

It could be worse, Windows phones were reported as asking for installation CDs at one point. I guess you could hook one up through USB?

My phone with buttons isn't even online, and has never tried to update. It does have a check for updates option in settings, but I don't get free data, so never bothered trying it to see what happens. I don't think it has a Wi-Fi option, and even if it did, don't fix what isn't broken.

Also on MS store:

I already have it - probably from a past giveaway. I tried it for a bit, and while it was nice, it didn’t really click for me. I never got around to finishing it.

To get the most out of it, you have to join groups. Groups only let you join if you've already given away things, and then it becomes trading with extra steps.

The extra steps are the important part though, because if you try to trade with someone, they value their own things much more highly, making actual trading difficult.

The groups allow Steam to determine the value, so no need for negotiation.
Which groups do you recommend joining? I'm trying to be more invovled with SG.

If you could actually download them on mobile without tethering it would be a different story, but even remote installation requires a connection on PC.
Do you have diferent data limits for usb/wifi tethering?
Since it's only 17GB I can probably compress it, put it on gdrive and send you a link. Then you can transfer it from your phone to pc, scan it and finally verify the files with steam. That should be safe you old f🦆. 🍔🪤

There's a handful of groups with little to no requirements, like the delete GA group, and Lootboy. A few that require you to play your wins, or fake it and use SAM etc. to give yourself achievements while you idle cards. Then low requirement groups, generally you do a monthly GA and need to maintain the value difference of your given and won games.

The better groups have more rules, some are quite complicated, others pretty simple. It also depends on how active the group is, and how strictly it's moderated. If people start breaking rules and leeching, then people stop making GAs, and the group kinda dies.

Finally the elite groups with incredibly strict rules, and requirements to join, and what can be given away. Some give away a lot of good things, but I haven't bothered with any of them, since I don't give away high quality games, and most of them wouldn't even answer if I asked to join.

This: Discussions - Group Recruitment is the forum page where you request to join. Read the rules for requirements to join, and to continue to be a part of the group, and decide from there.

I've only managed to join a handful of groups that are any good, and the one that I think is the best, and have won about half my wins from, no longer accepts members, and the moderator quit. The group owner is still active, but does nothing. So far people are still making GAs, but people are starting to leech far beyond the rule limits.

When I thought IG can't show me anything new in terms of erros, 30 minutes ago, instead of forum, I had this:

I had a few windows phones (trying to do windows programming when I was still stupid enough to believe there was 'windows' programming), things cost a damn fortune and not a single one could actual run a programming language...but I've never been asked for an installation CD

Your insane pete  do you know how long that would take to upload?

Downloading ls one thing but thats a big upload.

But ya, after 20GB of data when tethering it goes to 2G speeds which are shit, I have unlimited on Mobile itself.

The real issue is I dont even want to test it because I need to use PC to send in the court paperwork and the site kind of blows so i'm afraid it wont work...but I'm going to need to test the theory eventually so it might as well be soon, if the site fails on the slower speeds i'll just need to upgrade my plan for a month....honestly I prefer to save you the upload for something like that I can do myself, much as I appreciate it.

I do wanna check out Stellar Body too

Funny as it is I got that exact error on Windows 10 randomly, turned out that it failed to update the Microsoft Defender Definitions properly and that was the cause of the crash...I had already reinstalled windows on another partition and moved my user files over before figuring that out though so I never bothered to find a fix for it.

When the AV you don't even want becomes the Virus 🤷‍♂️

This is -90% for the base game, I'm not sure if it's worth it, I've been thinking to buy or not... or just wait for the summer sale. But I thought some of you might like this game, I tried the first for free and didn't like it, especially because there is no offline mode, and I don't want to see players around me if I don't intend to play with them.

Oh, and I don't trust them yet since they didn't deliver the offline mode for The Crew 2. We are in 2025, and there is no update for more than 6 months in their news

Never trust Ubisoft, I was a hardcore Creed fan and as someone who values customer service they disgusted me at every turn. They have never been able to admit a mistake, make even minor concessions, or anything that would cost them a buck. They will handle issues related to your data (until they decide to yank the DLC offline you paid for), but thats all they are good for...and thats iffy.

Taking back purchased content for minuscule server space is the lowest of the low moves, taking something like that offline to sell the new version when it never truly required online at all is a close second.

In this case i'm betting they will deliver EVENTUALLY, but only after the new game stops selling copies for a good period of time...or they decide to kill that server and make both offline

As much as I enjoy a few of their series, particularly Creed before they added online stupidiy and turned it fake RPG...the business sense behind that company has never had any sense--it would have been a gift to the gaming world if they were forced to sell the company to someone who wanted to bring the game series themselves back to life if i'm being brutally honest.

We should consult with our financial department about a potential acquisition.
