The Event has started and and it ends on Jun 24, 2025⏳

You must finish your gaming session and then close your game to update the Community Event.
Progress will update within one hour of completion.
Rewards will be applied automatically.
You must select Join at the bottom of the page to participate.

As previously done, Paid Community Event (Given away lots of times) but there is a Free weekend going on right now which ends in 2 days(y). It feels a little short, but hopefully we'll be able to get this one done.🤞
This one like others before, requires personal participation and Personal requirements are added. You must click join at the bottom to get the rewards.
So, 1 hour for each Milestone and 7 Milestones in total so
7 hours all together.
2000 hours / 1 hour (Personal) - 30 ARP
7000 hours / 2 hours (Personal) - 30 ARP
15,000 hours / 3 hours (Personal) - DBD Border
20,000 hours / 4 hours (Personal) - 30 ARP
25,000 hours / 5 hours (Personal) - Trapper Mask
27,000 hours / 6 hours (Personal) - 30 ARP
30,000 hours / 7 hours (Personal) - 5 Fragments

I'd be interested in those results...particularly the cryptographic libs, again I dont trust code I can't see for the reasons you just explained and I mentioned above...if I were going to seed the random lib I would have used the secrets lib because I don't want to deal with pulling 95 different pieces of information to create my own--that's something I would do for my own encryption but most online based random generators just use a single library, be it javascript or python generic/cryptographic ones without even adding a loop into the mix like I did with my simple two minute one I just made.

I pulled 69 numbers between 0 and 666 with the secrets library and ended up without a single duplicate number in seconds, trying below 69 and 99 a few times I got a single dupe...so either way its not bad.

I re-ran the winner selection a few times on the last run (after using the first result as the winner) and it gave me four or five different winners out of the 11 users before giving me the same winner 🤷‍♂️ much better than the wheel does with whatever it uses for code.

When I make encryption for strings, I always throw in some form of letter/number swapping manually for eech random time it loops (even in our game for bonis content) so it adds in little extra swapping that no pther function can produce...its a simple hack that would prevent most basic programs from decrypting it. That way for each loop it swaps the letters and numbers in my own list and each time it swaps them again...even better because I make it so certain ones don't change.

I.E.

k = j
e = n
g = d
c = c
n = m

When its deceypting

j = k
n = e
d = g
c = c
m = n

but if you do that 7 times randomly

e changes to n then n changes to m etc etc.

Doesn't work too well in ren'py since you can easily see the code :LOL:

I made encryption when I was 12yrs old without using any bit shifting math and the basic random function in visual basic 6 that I still can't crack myself to this very day with another program...I've always had a knack for it

for light use is fine but when there are multiple machines using the same code it can be an possible issue (it is one possible exploit since it allows replicability and prediction)

looks nice, maybe secrets library has already made sure what I said is a nonissue

and for talking about RNGs
I've checked lately who win the GAs I joined here on IG
I'm checking for awhile now, so I got a fairly decent data to compare.

Interesting enough a few names came up more than others.
and I'm not talking about GAs you can get extra tickets, it's the regular 1 ticket only.
So while a few win a few times a week/monht others take a few months to just win once?

I'm guessing the draws have some weighted factors.
Maybe how many GAs someone joined, how long has passed since their last win,
their IG level, etc.

Or they are just that lucky? :unsure::unsure::unsure:

No your definitely right, more likely the factor is how many GAs you make, ausf seems to have a winning streak and he makes (or did make) GAs all the time for malus reduction...I had much better luck when I used to make them too 🤷‍♂️ who can really say...but it does have some unseen factors based on the GA section usage itself.

I have data myself...people here :LOL: and just watching mine and other peoples. Its definitely got some odd improving considerations.

You may be right about all above although I also saw many level 0 users
with a big win rate 50s 100s or more wins

I dont know what could be the average number but I have spent more than 500 tickets
not credits and not win yet :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I used to win all the time, now I'm lucky to win once every 6 months to a year...maybe it has to do with how long you've been a member or the more you win the less you win.

I know new new members have much better luck (big surprise) and it may be that those level 0 users do alot of 1 silver or 2 silver GAs which takes forever to level up on but would count as doing a GA 🤷‍♂️

Nobody knows for sure except gala, could also be variables based on purchases.

Its free...so I never really cared. When I give games away, they're not free for me most of the time. I prefer to make it as random as I can for that reason...or i'll give the game to a certain user myself or restrict the raffle however I choose if its that important to me.

it's not something just simple as even odds to everyone who joined a GA
and have more chances just because joined more GAs though the odds should be unrelated to each other.

As an example get a 20 on d20 (die) around 5% to get any specific number right?
If you roll lets say 20 dices you should at least get one with 20 face, not guaranted though but it has a good chance of happening.
and the odds in one roll dont interfere in the odds of another roll.

I get it...unfortunately computers are, at the very base, calculators (or on/off switches lol)...so to even get those odds is more complicated than real life gambling. There's honestly not much about computers that I can't wrap my head around at least enough to grasp and almost nothing I couldn't create if I really set myself to doing it (not counting graphics), but I can't for the life of me begin to come up with an idea to make a truly random number...because absolutely nothing on a PC at all times is actually random already, even using the cursor position because they do need to click something to start the process, the only way to truly make random numbers on a never random machine would be to use the internet and base it off other connected users current machine states like a bit chain for rng factors.
