Not thrilled with the new AWA Vault.
Yeah, only 1-2 games interesting and sadly that dune game can't be played offline/solo
Please don't look towards System Shock 2, you will be helping a lot with this! 🧙‍♂️
It's really shitty that they don't offer a discount to those who already have the game in their library, btw.

In my opinion, the month is interesting.
Dune will be thrown out right away, it's not my genre, and I definitely won't get any of those two keys.
System Shock 2 in my opinion is the game that I would start playing as soon as I activated it. The old version hasn't aged badly, but I like how Nightdive works, they feel the line between unnecessary and necessary changes.
Voidslayer doesn't look like a bad game.
Dark Diety II will also find its player, especially since the first part was given away for a very long time and a lot, they definitely created some kind of seed of curiosity with it.
Pipistrello is number 2 for me this month, it looks to my taste.
Nedra also looks interesting, the only question is whether some former residents of the social camp are making it or, as always, people who don't understand anything about it somehow came up with a fairy tale woven from contradictions and elementary logical inconsistencies. it's easy to miss when you're not in context, but I really don't like that in stories. I can't get through Rise of the Tomb Raider without tears, for example, although technically this game is interesting and wonderful, but I can't stand the crap they feed me in the form of a story.
Shields of loyalty is not my genre, but is it that bad from the first look?
Everything else in the first tier - we can ignore it.

Is everything really that bad? Definitely not.

It's partially funny and partially horrific because it's not the first time.
Like with the Lupe DVD, don't have anything potentially controversial on you when you cross borders. The pic itself was not the reason he was refused entry. People get refused from multiple countries every day.
I'm afraid the USA is becoming something from Orwell's 1984.
Not for the reasons you're imagining though. More in the way the Ministry of Truth, in this case MSNBC, will happily repeat the pic = refused entry narrative.

Except, as I said, it's not the first time. We had, not so long ago, even a university professor banned in the USA because of FB posts, despite being invited to a seminar. So, yeah - Trump and Vance are making America a fascist state - not again, but for the very first time. Something that Prescott Bush and other conspirators haven't succeeded in doing in the 1930s.

I'm not going to try and define fascist here, but in terms of border entry:
Time stamped.
To enter the US: "You had to sign something to say you weren't a communist, drug addict, or homosexual."

This woman is a comedian. She played a drag queen. A woman, pretending to be a man, pretending to be a woman. Her name is Robin too, which is of course also a male name. She got arrested and thrown into jail with real men pretending to be women.

Meanwhile, individuals get refused entry to many countries, for all kinds of reasons. Most don't make the news. The guy didn't get flagged for the pic on his phone. He was flagged for further investigation, and then they found the pic, and several others. The pic itself was not the only or even main reason he was refused.

People seem very willing to believe whatever they think fits their narrative. Like eating the pets. There was almost no evidence, and yet it was stated as if it was fact.

You keep ignoring the fact that he wasn't the first person who was denied entry in the US because of the same thing - critics on social media, or even a meme.

Yes, I agree. Or as they said in Men In Black: "A person is smart, people are dumb."

I wasn't ignoring it. As I said, people get refused all the time. We have a show here about exactly this, Border Security, where they take dramatic ad break pauses to see if someone is let in, fined, have things confiscated, or refused entry. People get refused all the time. It doesn't make the news. It's also not very interesting, but it's cheap to make and so they keep churning out episodes.

My point was, person gets refused. Person has X. X = meme etc. Then goes to the media and says help, I was refused entry for X. Conveniently ignoring that they also had Y and Z.

As for university professors, once upon a time, this was a university professor.

Now this is what passes for a professor, or just leftist activist. Throw in some plagiarism, diversity hire, and you now have a modern professor. Bonus points for the glasses and balaclava. That really adds to the scientific vibes.

Edit: What happened to the good old elbow patch?
