Seem's NVIDIA fixed a long time issue with their control panel app that will make a massive difference for people with a better GPU than processor when gaming (which is most people considering GPUs these days)
I've never been able to get a good benchmark running OpenGL tests even though I've always kept this option set to my GPU even without seeing results from doing it because my GPU is a beast compared to my processor...until now.
I just ran Superposition Benchmark for the first time in a while since I prefer 3DMark and for a laugh I decided to run the OpenGL test I usually ignore because it always ran off my processor even though it should have run off the GPU and bombed horribly while beating my poor old Intel chip into the ground
The point of this long ass rant is that it finally didn't run off my CPU and my Superposition hasn't been updated since I installed it before getting my 3090--meaning NVIDIA fixed the setting finally to override other programs.
So I suggest anyone with a GPU that crushes their processor change this setting in the control panel app to run off the GPU rather than Auto-Select by default, at least while running heavy games...even people who have a killer processor may want to try it on games giving them issues. It finally works the way it should and just killed the benchmark--almost matching my usual DirectX score.
