Depends on your computer. Despite it being a very simple game it seems to be very poorly optimized. On my PC it's unplayable in Chrome and in Firefox it's a bit slower than what I saw in others' videos. So one might be limited by that. For example the absolute best I can do on chopping is 52 seconds, but usually more like 54-56 sec. When I tried it on my newer work laptop (in Chrome) a few weeks back I did it in 52 seconds on the very first try.

One interesting quirk was that when I played on an old laptop while on holiday the archers lagged as much as my character. This allowed me to reach and hit them before they got the exclamation mark. (On my PC I can't get to the first archer quick enough even if it spawns at the closest gate.) So they always started to flee and didn't shoot at first. I killed 10 which still is my best ever performance in the archer challenge.

I tried before on Firefox before and my system doesn't seem to like it much. So I switched over to Chrome. Although it eats very much more resource on my pc but it plays much smoother. I also heard some saying that pc specs does affect challenge performance but I only have a potato at the moment thus I can't tell the difference :ROFLMAO:

Side note.. These 3 days the challenge has been really bad during this hour I guess it could be due to the influx of Indian players. I have been losing keys to the challenge for 3 consecutive days.. I tried yesterday to play while it is sleeping time in India and the challenge was smooth as it usually was. So I think I will switch my play timings to past their sleeping hours else I keep losing keys daily.. 😖

I had misremembered the malus - it was not that big after all and I am not that good. Sorry about the misinformation.

Lately (these 3 days) the challenge has been very wonky. You win a challenge but never get a key and to top that off you get malus from it. So 0 keys + time penalty for completing a challenge. So that makes a loss of key. I had a poor friend who had 4 wins yesterday but only managed to get 2 keys 😫
