In my steam library I already have bioshock 2 and 3 , but I am missing part 1 , if I buy bioshock collection , I am asuming only part 1 will get activated , but what will happen to parts 2 and 3 ? will I be able to gift them to my friends ? Yeah, I know. The system is designed to entice paying for the same things multiple times and wasting money as result. This is especially obvious with any kind of DLC package deals that also include the base game.

maybe there is a discount on total price, because you already have them. check price on logged steam and normal price here https://steamdb.info/ if there is any difference. I don't know only for already own dlc, for example I own some dlc from his pack SEGA Mega Drive and Genesis Classics on Steam and normal price is 29,20 Euro but since I already have some dlcs I have a discount it cost 24,20 euro for me.

No, there isn't. This kind of discounting only applies to Steam bundles (which account for what you already own), while BioShock: The Collection is a Steam package (which give you no extra discount even if you already own items contained in it).

Still, sometimes discount for whole collection might be greater than for only one game you need and you can save money. just wait for sale. (And remember that Bioshock 1 Remastered is bugged as hell, it crashes and might delelete autosaves).

This was my case, the Remaster is unplayable for me (I can't get out of the water after the plane crash, which is basically the first cutscene, so yeah). And the historical lowest price for the whole Collection is a little over 7 euros for me, while the old (non-remaster) Bioshock 1 is currently on sale for 5 euros on one of the official stores
