Welcome back. Did you find out what the reason was? Maybe your standard message on all your giveaways got your account flagged or something?
Nah, I didn't even know that ban got lifted until I saw Jer7cho's comment on my profile
I feel like I'm somewhat of a collector

of ways to be banned/lose access to a part of the site:
- Got banned from the main site almost exactly two years ago - still had access to the forum, but trying to log in on the main site resulted in "Profile Banned" message. Paula told me that their system found "inconsistencies" in my profile, but didn't elaborate.
- Got locked out of the gameplay giveaway "due to suspicious activity". Took a long time to reach support (not sure, but I vaguely remember that adjusting to lockdowns was messing with a lot of people at the time, so it might have been due to that?), but things got quickly fixed once Paula replied to me. Again, no info on what was "suspicious".
- My IP apparently got blocked this summer for some reason . Could log in on my phone just fine, but using my home connection would just result in "Error 20" page. Once again the forum remained available and the issue was fixed soon after I wrote to support.
- This last (hopefully) ban. This time only forum access was lost for a change (oh, and also my email seemed to be blocked) - the main site worked just fine. While logged in, the forum page only showed "You have been banned" message and amusingly the notification bell counter continued to work - it didn't allow me to see the actual notifications, but the number was going up occasionally

On one hand, I can understand them not giving me any technical details on exact nature of inconsistencies and suspicious activity in the first three cases. After all security through obscurity is a thing and giving away too much information can lead to better ways of subverting security.
On the other hand, this last one was a mess, that just didn't make sense, no matter how I looked at it. If the ban was legitimate from their point of view - why would I still have access to the rest of the site? If that was a hiccup of an automated forum moderation - why would it affect my emails?
for comedy relief, see forum about the "vote us for labor of love" award getting locked, nothing but rants...
LOL, thanks for mentioning that! Hilarious read. Somebody didn't think at all, while reaching for that
easy free publicity
