Thank you, Noble Ninja. I know some guy who stopped making those riddles after he found out it's leaked to reddit, and other lad just delete his puzzle/giveaway.
Would you be kind to give me a little clue as in which direction to look for clues? It is fine if no clues can be given so as not to spoil the game of puzzles but I mean no harm trying to ask if you seem to already have the answer. ;)

I'm taking a little break for now am very exhausted with things going around. Be back in a few hours or so.

For starters I thought that having a rough 2 weeks before coming back here would cease this saga. And here we are still on this..

Telling it once and it might be a joke that we can all laugh it off, telling it twice and we might still get some laughs out of it. But telling it on repeat surely gets on one's nerves and I certainly don't appreciate it one bit.

So those who wish to know why the draw rules have been so flippant? Alright I will open all without withhold then.. I shall no longer be taking the brunt of the impact and cushioning DMs coming to me asking why draws are made like this and like that..

Firstly when I made the initial scheme to reward more chances to those who joined yet didn't win 3 or more times, you had an opinion about it and sent me a DM asking for change.

Then when I changed to the simple scheme, you wanted your extra chances from the previous non-winning draws. I gave it on 2 draws which is a big bias on my side as there are also others who had extra chances but I never awarded for them.

Lastly I had considered that we should reward those who are consistently giving over taking, and yourself being the giver would stand extra chances as it stands (win-win). But here we are and you still have opinions. So can you please suggest a proper solution then?

My stance is if someone can just grab any game from any giveaway he/she most probably be there majorly for a neat +1 to their steam profile. Be it if the game is a shiny new AAA like Monster Hunter Rise and even Dying Light 2 or Bad Rats so long as it is a +1 all is dandy to them. So should we thus reward them more chances if they probably will never play those games? No gifters hope to see their given games go for just a +1 to their respective winners I believe that also applies for Kurounin

So Pygmy Goat you want to know why it is so hard to do a weighted draw? This is the exact reason! Do it one way it displeases someone, do another and someone else will start making comments. Also the major reason why I am stopping my draws. But I will do another probably the very last as I promised eox1 on it.

For those who are very concerned about me when I make post like these I assure you I am not angry I am just frustrated and very tired with this. I sincerely thank those of you who always sends me DMs with concerns when you sense something wrong with me not writing my usual joking style. 🙇‍♂️
Why are we discussing how someone makes their ga?
Anyone can make their ga how they see fit.. Raffle, chances raffle, keydrop, gift, etc..
Don't get upset over nothing :p

It looks like no one got banned for that Ubisoft fiasco few weeks ago. I'm still checking the reddit forum every day...
I really hope it stay that way... My account went from owning 20 games to now owning 110 games + many, many dlcs.
+3 games for steam (and oculus). each.

I am truly obliged to insert this, as a token of my respect:

I do envy you in a good way, Congrats anyway, and thanks for sharing.
ps: imho - no one gonna be banned for this mistake (except responsible workers of course), because it is great PR for ubisoft, and gathers attention to their site. It is brought my attention anyway.

I have nothing much to share but on Steamgifts there is an ongoing puzzle and the reward is for a chance to enter to win Elden Ring which I know perhaps more than a handful of us here are very interested in getting our hands on that. I do not have that kind of capacity to solve this puzzle but if someone does I will be happy for them. If anyone who solved it feels so incline to share the secrets I believe everyone will see him/her as a saint but I also understand that the more entries the more it dilutes the chances so you might want wish to keep it to yourself, nothing wrong either (but then again I may join a group GA with only 10 or so entries more than a few times but walk away empty handed so..) 🙃

You cannot post a puzzle and expect me not to solve it:D

I don't even have a SG account so... I guess I can do a link giveaway, as I won't be using it:D

Puzzle not hard, please respect GA creator(and steamgifts rules), it's cheating to take this outside his topic :|
I'm sorry but F NO. "puzzle not hard" are you kidding me?...... I've showed this to 5-6 people all playing puzzle games daily and non of them have a clue on even how to start.. Let alone me.. It's not about taking it outside but about trying to understand what it even asks from us..

It had and other difficult puzzles but we always knew what it was asked from us.. How to approach the solution regardless if we would do it or no.. But alien signals isn't "easy"................

Just simply search "Ubisoft deletes an user's account and all games after inactivity". These big companies don't really need to care about PR that much. Most of them have bad reputations anyway.

The difficulty of the puzzle is irrelevant. It doesn't matter if you show it to 100 people. I have seen puzzles where giveaway only had less than 10 entries. If the puzzle is shared outside to solve, it defeats the whole purpose. Ask the giveaway/puzzle creator in their thread to know how to proceed. Why ask outside to know about the puzzle? I have seen many puzzle giveaways where the answer is posted once it ended. I have seen one time where an user directly shared a puzzle on reddit. Just randomly saw the post while trying to guess the answers from the puzzle.
Edit: Checked it. It has 71 entries in less than a day with 1 week left.

I'm of the same opinion, in the sense that as someone doing giveaways you want the games to go to people that will actually play them. Keeping giveaways fair will be difficult and might not please everyone, which is why initially I gave the keys to the first ones that requested them.

Not for the solution.. As for how to even begin to solve it. The point isn't to get the link but to understand it, how it works and how to eventually solve it.

Like for example Ozo puzzles are many times based upon programming skills. I always skip those as I can't solve them BUT I know where the solution lies.. Here is alien symbols..

My "protest" was over if the puzzle was difficult or not not if it should be shared..
What I asked about (rl friends) is how one would proceed to solve this as the creator is 0 help. Not the link itself.. Not the point.

I glad you like you new games Pygmy Goat and Marky Marshmallow. I really appreciate your nice comments. ❤️

People please stop sendig me 10 DMs every day asking for games. I never mentioned Killing Floor, Tropico 3 Gold or Damnation anywhere in a public chat and you all somehow know about it. How? 🤔

1. Lord Blackblood already got Klling Floor Bundle from me earlier today and he is happy. ;)

2. immerbeaner gifted me S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow Of Chernobyl and he got Damnation in return. Thanks so much for your gift immerbeaner.

3. Marky Marshmallow got Tropico 3 because he is always nice to me and he gifts games to others. 💜

4. Venetica went to PurpleGreenTremors who had it on his wishlist for a long time. Sorry you had to wait that long to try it. :)

Summary: I don't have any of them anymore and I'm really sorry!!! Maybe next time. :)
Hi Vinka Zec, your posts are becoming like the posts from some other people on this list (wink, wink, nod, nod).
First I want to put a Sad Face (reading about your dms, :( <- yeah, I know it is a frown, but no sad face available) ...
... then a Haha (reading about everyone knowing what games you have :ROFLMAO:) ...
... and then a Love (reading about the games you gifted ).
Well, went with the Love. Because it is hard not to love your spirit and kindness. Thanks for being you!

Don't get upset over nothing :p
Well, you are hitting the nail on its head.
The problem is one many nice people have.
There are many in this Lair.
>>> So, why is niceness a problem, I hear you say. Or maybe not.
Because they want to please everyone. So they start giving (could be anything, keys, love, attention).
But some people - who in their own view did not get enough - will complain.
So the nice people try to adjust and give them more.
But you guessed it ... it is a losing battle. There are always people who think they did not get enough.
That is why there is a saying: You just cannot please everybody.
...
So shall we just stop being nice to other people then?
Eeuhrmm ... no ... love always finds a way. Every nice person should work this out for themselves.
...
I am not so much a nice person as a helpful person. I want to help people.
So my trick with the Santa-giveaway was to say it would be not fair from the start.
I could just rule out the person or persons whose posts I even cannot see anymore.
And when I had more games I could give more games to greedy people, no problem with that.
My keys, my choice as they say.
And, guess what, it was a success. Well, I think it was a success. And that is what counts.
Not what everybody else thinks, but what you think yourself.
...
So coming back to what Anastasia says. Yes, you should make the giveaway in the way you see fit.
And maybe try to make it in such a way that you have no problem with it later on. That it feels good!
Sorry for the long post. It seems it is that time of the year again for those kind of - too long? - posts.
Three lines lining up. It pleases my eye! ;)

I didn't know you were under so much pressure, although I do know you put in a lot of work on hosting the draws.
Please take your rest.

I am always grateful of the kind souls in this forum and hope all is well to all of you.
I also fully agree that the giveaway host has the right to make his/her own rules.

That prince of persia collection , takes me right back to childhood , nice catch . I think you're fine , its been almost 2 weeks now right ? If they wanted to do something about this already , they would have done it by now . Some poor polish employee probably got booted out of the company tho , press F to pay respect .
The only game that I would play from the list are Might and Magic games. All the rest is for my brother. He is a big fan of Assassin's Creed and those Tom Clancy's trash, he also likes bikes and snowboarding....
Mayble I'll try Far Cry at some point.
But yeah, great catch.. I hope that nobody lost his/hers job. It was a good promotion for Ubi, people are using that platform again.

p.s. Some people got really greedy - there was no limit for taking those steam/oculus keys, and I've read that some people made algoritms (bots) and took 5k keys.... maybe it's not true, but it was possible.

1. Lord Blackblood already got Klling Floor Bundle from me earlier today and he is happy. ;)
Thank you once again, you are amazing!
And a message for all the people who bother Vinka asking for games -
The more you beg for games, the less chances you have to get something. Vinka is queen around here and she doesn't like beggars.

Thank you co2no for all your work. In my view, whoever sets up a giveaway can choose the rules - if they wish to take all these things into account that is well appreciated, but it should not be done so much that it becomes a burden or stressful for the giveaway creator.

For my part, I only enter for games that I am interested in playing, and I am happy with any rule for the chances - any chance at all is better than none. :)

If you haven't played it yet, I would also recommend Beyond Good and Evil - it's a well regarded 3D platformer with an engaging world.
