I think in the other examples (I don't even need to click to know which two, v and tryyear)...they were intending on 'good use' coming back to the Arena or someone on Gala...at least that was my thoughts on it at the time.
As retro just said, I doubt anyone could blame you for using it to trade for an MP game to play with your family or something, but the way your making it sound--that would simply make this another barter...except it would be trading keys between users without their explicit consent.
This is my personal view at least, since I don't give 1 to take 1 like it is barter, I just throw keys into the pool at random...and in all honesty my cost would probably be higher than I'll likely ever take back, I'll never know since I wasn't counting but

You know I got mad respect for you my friend, and your offering to return the key proves exactly the reason why.
And in your case, if it was my key...I would have said keep it for that fact alone, but I believe if roles were reversed you wouldn't want people taking your higher value keys and leaving garbage in exchange to go make something off of them
