Great choice! Eaccess - imho, because it is a big mod for a base game ja2, almost remake, and known to be somewhat buggy. Game can crash sometimes. I personally liked it very much, especially the idea of rebalancing firearms, making the handguns faster to shoot, but did not finish it back then exactly because of the crashes. Also it is much harder than the original, but not so much if you know well base mechanics of the game. I recommend you to try it for your liking, but do not forget to save often and in different slots, saves can also become buggy.
Thanks for the heads up, I still haven't played the original yet tbh, but I purchased that one for myself recently because the game got my attention and looks good...I did see the DLC for the classic and noticed the additions like tougher enemies and new weapons.
I didn't know you could tweak the guns, I love that kind of shit...its why I love Resonance of Fate (aka RESONANCE OF FATE/END OF ETERNITY), its a Gun based RPG with a hex based world map where you can change the hex colors to give you different battle boosts depending on the amount and your weapons are all guns that you upgrade with limited space (or boxes) for each type by adding things like scopes, extensions, clips, etc.
Making the ultimate gun in the space your given with smaller better additions and the best tile booster for each separated area (you can only change so many per 'section') becomes the games real objective as you play...it seems almost useless when you first start but becomes such a huge factor as the game gets more difficult that the map is more valuable than level gaining.
The gun additions become so enjoyable and complex you can literally fill every single box on the screen eventually with the best parts you can find and make a demonic weapon in almost every different combat style you want, entirely customizable all the way down to where the gun is placed on the grid.
Fuck...I just made myself want to play it again and I still haven't grabbed it on steam
The resolution is gonna suck for me on my 4K monitor I think, but most older games usually do and I have some options to improve visuals when I care to bother. to at least make it decent.
I'll definitely be firing it up or the first game first eventually or I wouldn't have requested it since I know it wasn't a fueda or common game--not my style.
I don't mind adding some games I might play when they're are multiple copies or they were freebies, but I try to avoid asking for anything that may be store bought unless I at least plan to play it...although my life seems to be the literal definition of nothing ever goes according to plan lately
Appreciate the opinion in any case, always glad to know someone enjoyed a game...it gives me a reason try and get to it sooner rather than later
