"Guaranteed" Giveaway rename suggestion

If I can suggest renaming/relabeling your "Guaranteed" giveaways. I understand now that this means the keys were purchased and supported through Indiygala, not that the giveaway was guaranteed to win as some might mistake. Many of the game giveaway groups on reddit understand guaranteed giveaways to mean that everyone who enters before the keys run out is guaranteed to get one. This slight mis-wording could cause more than a few support emails and complaints that take up customer services time. Just from a PR and practical stand point perhaps consinder a different term?

I concur, and found this to be somewhat misleading as well. Consequently, only entering those giveaways indicated as such, to no avail. Otherwise, an awesome giveaway system indeed!

I though it was pretty straightforward that it meant the winner is guaranteed the game, not everyone. I can definitely see it getting lost in translation though. I would be all for changing the name to something that is more universally understood though.

I actually don't find that misleading at all, at least in my part. It is quite obvious that "Guaranteed" mentions the key state and where it was brought from and not the giveaway itself. Every key license bought and brought from Indie Gala website has a high rate chance to be legitimate hence labeled as guaranteed. At contrary for "Non-Guaranteed" giveaways, the keys were just brought from the outside of IG, as to speak, from a retailer which is not affiliated with IG.

Furthermore, it is also explained in a great detail at Giveaway articles, one of them says the following:
You can create “guaranteed” giveaways by offering games that come directly from your Indiegala Library and for which serial keys have not been exposed or unveiled. When creating such giveaway, you will be able to select from a list those games that are valid for a Guaranteed Giveaway.

For guaranteed giveaways Indiegala ensures the validity of the key, and commits to offer support in case there are any problems or issues.

If only anyone read those articles... I mean, I did, but 99% of ppl don't and won't, that's a fact. If you watch IG giveaways, especially lvl 0, there are always questions like "where is my key???" "when will i get the key??" "last time i entered such guaranteed GA and didn't get any key!! wtf" and so on and probably tons of the emails to the support. So yeah, I'm also for the change of the name, probably Verified suits the most like it was suggested here.

@baffi: Don't want to be rude but these people are kind of "weary, seek everything but never going informed". These articles were made for a reason in the first place. Don't get me wrong, I'm also up for the label replacement but if we're talking in a board, general aspect, people expects things which most of them are actually covered in FAQs and articles. Searching NEVER hurts anyone, does it?

Unless if someone is truly a newbie then I would understand at some degrees.

I totally agree with you, moreover, some people use not reading the rules as a "oh-i-didn't-know" cover when making something stupid or abusing the system, which annoys even more. But if this renaming will help at least a bit and stop the misunderstanding, then it's for good. If not, well I guess we can't help if ppl are that dumb :D

"Certified" would be perfect. I recently introduced a friend to the giveaway system and had to explain how "guaranteed" didn't mean "100% winning chance". I know there are comprehensive guides on how to use the site but most millennials can't read to save their lives these days.

Also wouldn't it be better if the "giveaway" section be renamed to "raffles", so it can be better distinguished from the normal giveaways that Indiegala do.

I did not know what this meant for my 1st giveaway too so I guess this makes sense.

I agree. Here I was getting my hopes up until I thought. "Hey how are they just going to give everyone keys 100%? Must be rich..."

Then I realised how silly this is and decided to look into it. Yeah, it's misleading.

This would be misleading only if you have mindset of a 10 years old adding people on steam and begging for gifts on a daily basis. Like srsly.
