So, I played the challenge once, got the key and activated it, and then tried to start the challenge again.
But the second time I got a message: "Notice from the king! You won 1 keys in the last 24 hours. Every key won gives you a malus. For every key won- blah blah blah..."

So, at the bottom of the message it says :
Keys won = 1
Starting Malus Multiplier = 10 seconds
Final Malus = Keys x Malus = 1 * 10 = 10 seconds

I don't know English very well, so could you please explain what should I do with this? What is "malus"? Can I continue to take part in the challenges?
Please do not write harsh comments if I'm being stupid, I'm new here...

Malus is a penalty. Every time you win a key you get -10 to the total time for completing challenges. So yes, you can continue, but now you will have less time to do so.
You can still win, but it comes with practice.
And you can also link your steam account in the settings, join the indiegala group on Steam and get a +1 bonus:

Also, in a few months you will get another bonus for the fact that the profile is old, another +1.
With a penalty of -8 instead of -10 it will be easier to win.

If you make giveaways in the giveaways section and get positive feedback, you will get another +2 (for one day):

You will also get +2 for buying any game from the store.

In this case, all the keys in the challenges are yours!!!

Malus -> You get less time with every key won.
1 key = 10 seconds malus; 2 keys = 20 seconds malus.

You can reduce the penalty by
- account older than 1 month (permanent -2 seconds malus)
- linking your steam account to indiegala (permanent -1 second malus)
- buying from the store (-2 seconds malus for 24h)
- buying a bundle (-2 seconds malus for 24h)
- if you do a giveaway and receive positive feedback (-2 seconds malus for 24h)

So, with an "old" indiegala account that is linked to your steam account, you get 10-2-1=7 malus which gives you less 7 seconds on the timer per key won.

Hope this helps. (y)

I seem to understand now. Thank you very much for the quick response and good explanation!
