It seems there's a severe bug which makes all giveaways of certain levels not show up at all, when sorting by level, if IG Helper is enabled. I'm using the Chrome version.

I always load by the level filter to enter higher level giveaways first. This causes the bug. More details below.

I hadn't been seeing any level 4 giveaways for the last three days, and then today there were no level 3 giveaways listed either. That seemed really unlikely there there were no level 3 or 4 giveaways going on. Then when I tried sorting by price, or (all levels) expiry, then I saw some level 3 and 4 giveaways.

I tried toggling off all the hide options in IG Helper (including hide above my level, becuase I thought that might be the cause). I tried turning off endless scroll too. I even turned on always show garaunteed giveaways. Still, when sorting by level 3 or 4 there were no giveaways showing. Including garaunteed ones.

After I disabled IG Helper entirely, all the giveaways for 3 & 4 showed up when sorting by level. Re-enabling IG Helper (even with all options turned off) makes no giveaways show up at all when sorting by level 3 & 4. I don't know what's going on here.

I know you aren't updating IG Helper to deal with the nonsensical changes that IG put in place, but if you could look into this issue it would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: One other thing. I saw a game being given away that the Steam page says it doesn't have an English version:

English language not supported
This product does not have support for your local language. Please review the supported language list below before purchasing

This doesn't come up often, so I don't really know if it would be worthwhile to add an option to hide giveaways which don't support your local language.

Example game:

EDIT 2:
I've noticed that when no giveaways show up on a level, there's also no coin counter on the right side. Maybe that's a clue to what's going wrong.

I have noticed this myself the last week(s) but it hasnt been consistent. Yesterday there was no level 4 and 3 giveaways but today there is. I havent tried disabling IG Helper to check.

Please return expiry date to giveaways (e.g. 19 hours left). And add option 'hide entered giveaways' or mark such giveaways.

I'm on Chrome, updated. Seeing no giveaways either. Just the "Expiry, Price, Participants" etc, then ads, then the page numbers for giveaway pages. But no giveaways.

Turning off Indiegala Helper makes giveaways show up again, so whatever IG has done has made the addon Indiegala Helper no longer work at all.

However, for me (and MANY other people) Indiegala Helper is essential to use at this site. Indiegala's site without that extention is missing crucial things like not being able to hide owned games for example. Unless IG is going to add all those features themselves, it's important for the developers to test with Indiegala Helper installed too. It's too useful and too many people use it to just ignore it, considering that Indiegala itself clearly does not care about adding important things like hiding owned games giveaways.

If IG is changing things again anyway, now would be a great time to add time remaining back to the main giveaway page too. It still makes no sense that was taken away.

I don't know it my previous post went through or not as I can't see it. On latest Chrome even without the Indiegala Helper turned on, I am seeing a lot of "Whooops something went wrong. Retry." when hitting Next to go to the next giveaway page.

That's the point.
Also, after the last giveaways updates isn't possible to see which ga i joined and which not, so from now i have to manually click one per one and find which one joined or not, you can understand i can did this for 2-3 days then have fun, the helper was helpfull for did these two things
1) hide owned games (i have 700+games is impossible to remember all the games)
2) autojoin (because is impossible to know which one i joined or not at this state)

So guys, or you give to us these options or is no sense to continue here.

Grazie ragazzi e buona serata.

I dont think this should be the priority, the priority should be fixing the "duplicate entries" errors. The dev have clearly stated that he wont update the plugin until the site is fixed so the only way to fix it is either to revert back the site to a previous update where the plugin worked, or fix the site.

All that did is make the site work almost exactly the same with the plugin installed, as if the plugin isn't installed. In other words all IG did was apparently disable all functions of the plugin.

If IG is going to do that they really, really NEED to add the things that the change from a few weeks ago took away. Plus what the plugin was doing. Hiding of owned games, hiding of entered giveaways, hiding of giveaways above user level, and amount of time remaining for giveaways on the main giveaways pages, among other things. Also a blacklist for unwanted games, and get rid of the 12 giveaways per page and put in endless scrolling.

Taking ALL of that functionality away (which IG has done by recent changes from a few weeks ago, plus now disabling all functionality of the IG Helper plugin)... IG's developers are making the site worse, so much worse to use, which makes absolutely no sense at all. They should be making it more convenient to use, not harder. That's going backwards.

Lets just list how the site has degraded with the changes from a few weeks ago, in combination with as of today all of the plugin functions no longer even working.

Not being able to hide entered giveaways makes IG ridiculously harder to use because you keep seeing the same giveaways that you entered already, day after day after day after day, and can't find the ones you haven't entered yet without wasting a stupid amount of time every day. This is atrocious! There is no excuse for that nonsense!

Not being able to see how long giveaways have left on the main giveaways page means you can't spend your coins wisely without wasting time opening up giveaway after giveaway. And especially sorting by price is next to useless now because you have no idea at all when anything is going to end. Removing time remaining from the main giveaways page was a huge step backward that was never explained. Plus there's room for it. It could go right under the coin cost amount for giveaways on the main giveaways page. Or under single ticket/extra odds, if that was moved closer to guaranteed/not guaranteed.

The plugin would show you on upper left corner of the main giveaways page how many coins you had left, and would update when you entered a giveaway from the main giveaways page. That was invaluably useful to know when you're going to run out of coins. Like all other functions of the plugin, now that no longer works.

Not being able to hide owned games means you keep seeing giveaways for games you have no interest in winning because you own them already. All they do is get in the way.

Not being able to have a blacklist of games you're not interested in but don't own has the exact same problem. All those giveaways do is get in the way. Every day.

The plugin used to have a link to the Steam page for a giveaway's game on the Main giveaways page. This saved so much time in figuring out if you were interested in a game being given away. Now this doesn't show up anymore even with the plugin, because of whatever IG did. Having to open the giveaway page to get the Steam page link may not take that much time for one individual game but when you probably end up doing that for 30 games a day, it adds up and just becomes stupid when there could simply be a "View this game on Steam" link on the main giveaways page. IG could easily have room to put "View this game on Steam" under the giveaway's "by user name" on the main giveaways page.

Not being able to hide giveaways above your level makes browsing by price or level-independant expiry show giveaways you can't enter. Which is utterly pointless.

Having 12 giveaways per page instead of endless scrolling means a lot more clicking and waiting for pages to load. Plus IG messed up something that when clicking Next you can get the message "Whooops! Something went wrong. Retry" and see no giveaways. That is still happening today. And that happens whether or not the plugin is installed.

Does IG see now how much less usable the site has gotten? All those things I listed used to be on the site itself or the plugin (which hugely compensated for IG's lack of basic useful functionality). Think for a moment whether you yourself would want to use a site with all these stupid things making it less usable than it used to be.

i can't join anymore ga's, i mean i can join.. but don't remember which games i own or not so don't wanna waste coins plus the bug "already joined" but not hidden ga. ill check just for the plugin update , is useless at the moment waste hours for find which ga i didn't joined, which game i have or not, too much time that i don't have.

Yeah... This site without some helper scripts is a big pile of inconvenience & bugs. It was understandable for the early 1-3 months but how long has it been now, 2 years? After this much time one would expect a somewhat decent system but nope...

I am done with this site and ALL it's problems, I will however check this thread on a regular basis in the hopes that IG and the plugin IG helper return to a usable state. Until then, goodbye!
