btw keep in mind that:

in this moment the site works, but not the helper, so if the helper dev (that isn't a indiegala dev) don't fix the script isn't a indiegala fault.

anyway a function (yes indiegala devs that's for you) for hide joined ga, hide owned games can be REALLY helpfull.

please keep in mind that the IndieGala Helper plug-in is not created or supported by IndieGala in anyway.

Geralt, my guess is an adblocker or some other extension is causing that. I'd trying turning those off and see if it works.

Otherwise maybe some security setting for IG got added to your home version of Chrome but I wouldn't know how to check or fix that.

The helper exists to make up for the fact that essential things like hiding entered giveaways were not a part of the site. The fact that IG never put such essential things in, and the helper had to be made to compensate, IS IndieGala's fault.

In other words, what was really happening while the plugin was working is that IG was coasting on the heels of someone else's work (redsparr0w's for making the Helper plugin) to have a palatable site. The fact there is not a palatable site without that helper is entirely IG's fault, especially because they were not paying proper attention to their userbase. People had said things before this, even when the Helper plugin was working, about how the site was missing things that needed to be there to have a site that was not a pain to use. They could have seen this coming, if they paid more attention to what the users of their site say on their own forum. The signs were there.

Honestly I think redsparr0w should deserve to be paid something by IG, simply because I am certain the userbase at IG is noticeably higher that it would be at this point if the IG Helper had never existed. His work in making the site more pleasant to use through the Helper plugin convinced people to stay at IG who otherwise would have left (myself included) after a short while because of the headaches the site causes without the plugin. I literally never would have ended up buying anything here if not for the plugin making the site better to use. Because I wouldn't have been here long enough to see a bundle I wanted to buy if not for the helper.

@Oh The Folly
Thanks for summarising what I wanted to post but didn't bother because I believe it wouldn't change a thing.

Indeed, we shouldn't be needing additional scripts in the first place. It's IG devs fault for making a PITA system. On top of that, getting moderators say "we care about our users" doesn't make it magically true. SHOW IT! New people may not realise this but those who were around for over a year knows, a lot of suggestions have been made, needs have been clearly stated... They just don't do it.

I also support your idea that they should pay redsparr0w or perhaps even hire him to do the interface section of the site. Though I doubt he will be able to work well with this site's superior backend developer :D Anyway, they wont because they are busy making him a target instead, saying "we care so we fixed a bit guys so please now go bother the script dev"...

Yes thanks for pointing this! THIS is why I won't buy any bundle until these basics features are implemented or that they stop shutting IGHelper down.

The killer here is, aside from not improving the site as per suggestions, they changed the site just enough to break the plugin *just because*. Like, it improved nothing. It was change for the sake of change. Think about that. Their development time and effort goes toward crap that doesn't even matter

I think they are trying to get people view as many advertisements as possible, to get more ad revenue. I'm seeing 6 ads on giveaway pages now... Scripts interfere with this scheme so they had to go. Also other type of requests like "hiding entered giveaways" will mean less page counts so they used to still show them with tickets torn. Now, even tickets aren't torn because they want us to open each giveaway over and over again since there are ads on individual pages as well...

Yes that's why it won't be fixed. The site works exactly how it was intended to work.
I use Adblock+ so I don't see any advertisement and I recommend everyone to use it. Forcing people to watch advertisement is not a good solution.

IGH is made by redsparr0w, not IndieGala. He was upset (just like most people) at some bonehead changes IndieGala made to the site about two months ago.

He was refusing to update it until IG reverted stupid things like no longer showing time remaining on the main giveaways page, and not being able to know what giveaways you had already entered (which meant you kept trying to enter the same giveaways you had already entered day after day).

That last one was finally fixed maybe a week ago, but not until after IG broke his script completely. He hasn't posted in a while now. I don't know if he's even still hanging around IG anymore.

Been rather busy with work lately haven't had too much time to visit the forums and answer questions, will probably go through the rest today/tomorrow if i get a chance.

I was in contact with IG a couple weeks ago in regards to possibly working together to integrate the features from IGH directly into the website,
From the chrome store page:
Integrate into indiegala website
Hi!

I am Riccardo, indiegala director.

Congratulations for your great work on this exstension, it is very impressive! Unfortunately we recently found out that every time we make a chenge to the website ( for example last time we did some changes to giveaways section layout to improve visualization from mobile ) something broke in your extension and users are unhappy. Of course it is very hard for us to maintain our website AND check your code at the same time ( even because we didn't wrote it ;-) ) So here is what i tought: integrate your javascript functionalities into our code natively would really be the trick! I can hire new devs for this, but i would prefer you to do this work and i would pay you. What do you think? Please contact me at ############## and we can talk about business! Best!

Sent them some example of implementation last week haven't heard back yet though,
They may be trying to implement the features themselves, not too sure,
Either way hopefully it all works out nicely :)

I'm so glad to hear some updates from you. Hopefully, they'll keep their word and implement the things you've done for IG.
