Are there any updates in the works?
Like a bigger blacklist for apps, the option to hide my own giveaways or the option to blacklist users.

FYI, if you're still around. The coin counter on the main giveaways page doesn't update anymore when entering giveaways. It just stays at what number it started at when the page was first loaded.

Looks like they changed something (again) and broke the extension...giveaways page doesn't load if IG Helper is enabled.

The page itself loaded but for 10 days or so I couldn't enter any giveaways if / while the Firefox extension was enabled. Worked fine in Chrome.

Tried again just now, seems to work again.

The other issue, that owned games can't be (re)loaded, is still present though, on both Firefox and Chrome. Made the Steam profile public during testing.

Yes, this also happens to me (Chrome)

This is what I get:
IndieGala Helper
Something went wrong when updating your owned games list.
Code:
{"readyState":0,"status":0,"statusText":"error"}

If i remember right, the extension uses Enhanced Steam API which was shut down end of last month. Maybe IsThereAnyDeal, the new maintainers of Enhanced Steam (it's called Augmented Steam now) will release a public API server someday, no idea.

@pizzahut: same here, doesn't work in Firefox ("Whooops! Something went wrong." error).

The "Whooops! Something went wrong." error is because it logs out when going to the giveaways. This can be fixed by clicking on "Login / register", at worst it needs a few tries.

If it didn't log out, reloading the page should fix this particular error.

Just as a quick FYI for anyone that may end up here.

The extension is unlikely to be updated to work with the new IndieGala website.
(If it is updated, I will probably start from scratch mostly as a majority of the functionality has broken over time)

The extension was originally created to solve some of the minor issues myself and many others were having with the IndieGala website and extra features were eventually added alongside that.

They asked me a long time ago if I would be open to helping out with the site integrating the features provided by the extension, we emailed back and forth a couple times and had a phone conversation where I explained some things.

In the end they decided they were going to do it internally, and had started working on wishlist/blacklist, hiding owned games etc, but nothing has really changed since then and I assume most of those features were left unfinished.

If the site hasn't sorted them out by these things out by now, I would be surprised if they ever do (although I would love to be proven wrong ;) ).

Although in saying all that, if I do decide to update the extension, I will post here.

Thanks for the support over the years ♥

TLDR: The extension is unlikely to be updated to work with the new IndieGala website.

Re-added a bunch more features again,
But need to wait for the previous update to be approved by Chrome web store before I can submit the next update 😩 .

Edit: Was rejected because it was missing an icon.
Latest version should be published soon 🤞
