"To check (344)"
Really!?!
Just tell me if I won already!
this is such a tedious task and pure waste of time... my forearm isn't an auto clicker!
you should learn a thing or two from SteamGifts.

I can understand the background intentions of that check to make the thing a bit more interesting but actually is a complete waste of time.
It would be better for that purpose to show a number of gift boxes (equal to the the number of won items) and click to discover the game you have just won, the mistery remains to the end and you just click in a couple of boxes or so.

My two cents.

Agreed with above, it's a waste of time. I do really like the animation you're treated to if you win though. It's oddly satisfying, like a slot machine I suppose. The biggest issue I have, more-so than the shear number of games to check sometimes, is that the buttons themselves are ridiculously hard to click. I've had to click on every portion of the button upwards of ten times in some cases to get it to register. Because of that, I ended up using the auto checker browser extension someone here created. It's just a pain trying to do it manually.

Agreed.

For now I just use the indiegala helper addon to auto-reveal all though. Hopefully they do change it, since I hate having to wait for auto-feedback since no-one gives feedback. Do my gifts even receive people? Am I wasting keys on non-users?

Yeah i wonder the same thing. like are most of these keys just getting lost in the abyss waiting for the person to return and claim them?!
The system should just return them to original owner after 1 month of being unclaimed or auto create giveaway again.
But should still leave the posibility of the new reciever to give negative feedback as to lessen the possible abuse of the system.

Just feel like im wasting keys, half the people gave feedback and the other half was auto feedback, so probably never returned to claim the key.

I just want to say that when trying to rapid-click through these buttons, the button is often unrespnosive any time that "shatter" animation is playing, forcing me to click 20+ times per button. I shouldn't need to turn on my auto-clicker just to use your website.

Also, I don't know how many people really feel tension about these giveaways - the odds are hundreds or thousands to one, so you have to ram through a hundred a day to win anything, and that means I don't even bother looking at the game whose giveaway I just lost, since it's a waste of time even knowing what I lost when trying to aim for the next button to clear to ram through the list as fast as possible.

I was thinking the exact same thing, just notify that we won something and we can click to reveal what. All this clicking was kind of interesting at the beginning but got annoying so quickly.

To respond to the "lotto ticket excitement" analogy that someone made in a different thread, the thing is, one lotto ticket might be exciting, because all your hopes ride on that one ticket. 100 lotto tickets isn't exciting, because you don't build up tension for the first one or feel let down for that first ticket, there's 99 others to go. You don't feel tension for the last one, either, because by then you're feeling certain defeat after so many failures. You feel nothing but how it's a chore to scratch them all while in the middle of the pile.

The only thing that would maintain that "lotto ticket excitement" is if it was all on one button, a "reveal everything" button.

Well, IndieGala sells games at cheaper prices and these giveaways help people get games, these are cool. However this system wastes too much time which could actually be spent on playing those games :( If the aim here is to get more games reach more players and get played, this system is kind of conflicting. (and no, that smiley is supposed to be a sad face)

Probably due to site-issues, worked fine for me right the first time I clicked it, but yeah, no feedback, manual checking needed.

Things like this are why I have to wait for the time-out period for me to get the actual credit for what I gave away.

I put up a 4000 giveaway point copy of Deponia a week ago, and I'm pretty sure the guy who won it hasn't even bothered checking, yet. Things like this defeat the whole purpose of using the giveaway system - I'd give the key away in seconds if I just put it up on the Steam forum for the game.

Anyway, yeah, there was a button, but they took it down really quickly. I presume there was some error with it, because I can't fathom why they would otherwise take it down.

I need a mere 16 points to level 1...
However I have 5 completed giveaways waiting to be checked, the accounts have no giveaways so seem inactive. I also have a guaranteed game but can't start a giveaway for it... I wonder when will I be level 1 :(
