Wait, don't tell me you actually chose this username?! I always assumed it was autogenerated by IndieGala's random name assignment algorithm, along with all the other PurpleGreen* users in the database.

I don't remember exactly, maybe I picked it from scratch or maybe it was suggested and I noticed the possible Day of the Tentacle reference? Regardless, I liked the end result well enough not to change away from it. :)
