So what was the code? I started off with the combination of 2, 3, 7 (the official l33t number "T") and 8 in the middle.
Tried all possible combinations (383, 282, 283, 382, 787, 782 and so on), was also going to try 1 for T but ran out of activation attempts.

UPD. Oh, I think I overthought it way too far ahead (for some reason I figured all three are supposed to be digits 🤕)

Oh really?? How was it taken so fast?
Judging by the anomalously high view count of this thread (as of now it says 5M, but I'm certain it was 7M just a few days ago), I'd say several automated scripts are regularly sniffing out this page and are automatically trying to apply the code to their assigned account.

Even when the key is partially encoded with cryptic symbols, it only takes one notification alert for the script to inform its user, whenever it finds an unusual symbol (!,?,#,$) outside of steam key alphabet.
So the harder the puzzle, the more fair chance everyone gets (an ideal way to post valid, unused keydrops is to 1) encode them with one or several puzzles, and 2) post the key as a picture, but second one might become a burden on forum's bandwidth or storage)

That was why people included puzzles! I'll include puzzles from the next time.

I'm not good at technical stuff, would it be okay (forum burden-wise) if people first posted the code as a picture + puzzle and then once somebody says the key is used already, OP would edit their post - delete the picture and just post the plain Steam code? It might be a good middle ground I think, make the work for bots as hard as possible, but at the end of the day don't burden the forum storage too much cause picture gets deleted?
