If you are really planned to play Deponia, you must remember that the story does not end at the end of the game, at least the first three games must be completed, and the fourth is closely tied with them.

Reminds me of the Cube Escape/Rusty Lake series. There are 16 games in that series which can be played in any order, but for the story to make sense and have continuity, they have to be played in a very specific recommended order. The order is not based on the game's names, release dates or any other obvious pattern. You have to look up the designer's notes on a wiki or something to find it!

Great series btw for fans of escape-room style games. The puzzles are pretty solid, and it has a weird humor/horror vibe inspired by David Lynch.
