Possibly bots. I know that some of them are set up to "watch" certain forums (or maybe even wider than that) and get (or at least try) anything that is in certain format.
When keys are posted like this - open and ready - it will be snatched in mere seconds. That's why people are doing little quizzes - normal human users can think them through and get the keys, bots can't.

Another possibility is that the key was already used or invalidated by petty developers after the game got kicked from steam.
I gave away a bunch of Battle Zombie Shooter keys last year but the last couple of them were bad.

Actually, I won another one of those in the challenges the other day, so if somebody doesn't have it and wants to test it, tell me!
