Isn't this forum made for dropping keys not just picking people to give it to them ?
idk really
also I don't think bots can take keys with some letters / numbers replaced
Agreed, most likely not a bot. Solving puzzles and of several thousand different types without any pattern whatsoever, (due to it being different people posting keys) is not a bot's forte.

However, I do think internet etiquette or lack thereof is at fault here. Although most ask for it, I've seen more often than not that the key has been claimed but the claimer did not post that they have claimed it and another member of the forum has to inform us that it has been taken. I'm grateful to the members that take the time to inform us that they or someone else has taken a key. It is helpful and often times (not always) can keep members from getting frustrated like Kid Kidding currently is.
Maybe we could find a way to encourage more people to post when they've claimed a code like make it less time consuming or maybe if the person is concerned about it a way to anonymously state that it has been claimed (incase they are embarrassed)?

This thread has 6 million views and counting, when the most active threads otherwise barely reach 1000 views. There may not be bots solving the puzzle keys, but there are absolutely bots watching for updates, scraping the posts for anything that might look like a key, trying it automatically, and then alerting the bot owner if it finds something that looks like a key but doesn't seem to be working. Putting the key behind a puzzle is just an inconvenience when the bot owner is alerted the instant a post is made.

Probably all scooped up by a bot.

You can look at the currently online members page and see a Guest, that is most likely a bot, just looking at this thread and refreshing every 30secs (at least it was 30 when I timed it), so a way to at least make sure a member is the one getting the key is asking IG Staff to make this thread only viewable by members who are logged in to the forum if thats possible, it still won't help with internet etiquette of dropping even a simple message saying "thanks for the key" or similar, but at least most of the keys wouldn't go to a bot.
And if there was a bot even with this, someone could see who it is and warn people to ignore/block it.

Good idea! What is the best way to ask the IG staff?
Oh, and can warning / ignoring / blocking help against a bot?
When the key would only be dm-ed it would help against a bot right now.
Warning or ignoring would not help against a bot because the bot would still have access to the stream and would ignore any warnings given as it would not understand them or care for that matter.
Blocking would help against a bot because it would prevent access to the stream/data the bot would need to view to get the information it is looking for.
I agree with making this thread only accessible to members, after all making an account is free and if guests are going to ghost(not comment and only view) then they might as well do so when logged in. Nothing prevents a person from simply not commenting after all. Then the only ones inconvenienced are the bots.
Unfortunately, I've no idea how to bring this idea to a moderator.

Crusader Kings II key.
I know it's a free-to-play game now, but getting it through the key activation should provide you trading cards to farm (if someone who has activated the key could confirm this hypothesis by checking how many card drops remaining in your Crusader Kings II badge after key activation - that would be great)

Already won this previously, so hopefully this code I got today is still good and someone needs it.

It's for a sound track (does not require base game to claim).

Title: Zombie Driver HD Soundtrack

Incorrect code: FDJE6-X08VI-8V7SX

How to get correct code: Move each alpha numeric either up, or down, 1 value based on the arrow guide below. Example: A goes UP to B. 9 goes DOWN to 8. Etc. If you are at either end of the alphanumeric limit, wrap back around. Example A goes DOWN to Z, 9 goes UP to 0, etc.

Arrow guide:
↑↑↓↓↑-↑↓↓↑↑-↓↑↑↓↓
