I guess I should apoligize for not being clearer with my other post.
these keys i'm giving away were meant for people who have given away at least 1 game here, for those who have contributed (a low enough requirement that I considered it reasonable). a sort of thank you to those who have given. bypassing those who only take.
It is rather disheartening to see people requesting a game, then going into their posting history, and see they've made plenty of trades, plenty of requests for free games, but never given even 1 game away.

based on some feedback i've gotten in dm's, I guess I'll stop giving away games at all from this point moving forward.
I've given away a lot, but apparently wanting to give back to other givers this time was just a bad idea.

I understand you completely , and boy did I screw myself over , by deleting 8 pages of my participation in this thread . because I have probably gifted nearly 60 or 70 keys so far on this thread , and now it lies forgotten in Indiegala's trashcan ....

Regarding those who dm feedback, I guess they were too eager and thus have yet read the full context of your previous post.

Regardless of your decision moving forward you'd still have my full respect and I have personally benefited immensely from your keydrops till thus far! You will never be forgotten at least by me for your kindness LapTato and the anonymous benefactor!

I honestly think a lot of people do that now, since the introduction of the signature system - nobody but the gifter and the giftee need to know

Thats why the "Gamers Lair " was created , no keycodes just dm's and because we turned this thread in meme factory in 2 weeks

Yep I used to put the names of the gifter on my signature but I figure it is getting out of hand as there are so many benefactors that gave me keys of sorts (including yourself). My signature is going like 6 lines and maybe soon it will hit 7 then 10 and in time I might hold the record for having the longest (and perhaps most irritating) signature in indie forum

I was always thinking about a way to make equal keys distribution. For example we can assign a virtual token for people who donate a key, then when someone wants to drop a game he say the game title and the first user with token that reply can get it. Of course here is not possible to do the list of user's tokens but maybe in the gamer's lair thread it's possible.

yeah , basically in few weeks , the page count went from 60 to 120 , some users were starting to complain , because the thread became too "chit- chaty" so I decided to delete my postings to "tidy up" the thread , hence the GAMER'S LAIR was created

Yeah the only downside is what you described, it needs a very active user that refresh the token counter.
