[snip]
In case people didn't know, you can still activate working Origin codes on an account that already owns the game... so be sure to scroll up and check the confirmation box. If you assume it failed because of "try another" at the bottom, you may end up burning more by accident.
Is it the same with GOG-codes? Can someone (accidentally) claim more keys for the same game on GOG?
That would make it understandable that the keys are claimed so fast. People just do the clickety-click as fast as they can.
Not having the name of the game that the keys are for does not help in this respect.

I'm not sure because I haven't got opportunity to test it on my own. (I haven't tried to redeem a key to a game I already own).
On GOG redeem page you enter the code and confirm, next page show you what the key is for and you can choose to redeem or cancel (*EDIT: If you already have the game on account it should give only option to make a gift, not redeem). If you click redeem (progress button - I'm not sure its name but not "cancel") the key has become redeemed no matter what you do next (sometimes there may be one more page before the game is activated on the account).

ps
I forgot. italic edit

If you haven't noticed that this is a gift, you can confirm and the key to the gift will be sent to your email address.

Hopefully this will clear the previous dispute...

There's no way to redeem a GOG key if you already own the game.

There is no such thing as redeeming GOG games, you BUY a game. Even if it's at $0 (during GOG mass giveaways, for example), that's a game PURCHASE, not game redemption, not key redemption. And yes, you can purchase a game multiple times as gifts, even if you already have it registered to your account; but that's beside the question which was asked.
