Lock Massive GA Games?

Why don' you lock the Games you give away as massive GA for one week or so? I am klicking throuh the GA sections with 90% Top Turbo Trumps on EVERY PAGE! You make a MGA to get 90% of them recreated as GA.

It wouldn't matter though because you would see the same thing right after the lock is removed.

Instead I think they should remove all locks. Right now I have some MGA games I want to giveaway but can't. Some are months old, in other words have been locked for months. Some users are still able to give them away though, probably with some javascript hacks.

In my Opinion the GA section is going to be totally flooded by indiegalas own GAs -.- There is nothing i would enter....If it keeps on like this there won't be more than some bots entering GAs on this Page.

No, I don't think it is better or worse. I'm just saying it makes no real difference. Think about it, if there was a 1 week lock, people would simply wait 1 week and then you would see the same flood.

Massive games giveaways are locked .. well most of them. Unfortunately Indiegala massive giveaways can't be blocked because they go in as "guaranteed giveaways" . Now there are also glitches that allow the other ones to get through and if you see those and they are missed you can always go into the chat area (trades tab bottom of the page) and drop a message there for one of the mods. Normally there is one on most of the time and if they see it they can remove them. No way to remove the trade ones unfortunately but they keep promising on next update.

I have some unclaimed MGA games from before, in other words "guaranteed" but I can't create giveaways. Says "We are sorry but this game can no longer be put in a giveaway. Try again in a few days." If guaranteed ones aren't blocked, am I having a bug?

I'm seeing the same thing. After looking into Trolley Gold I realized I'd never play it so I was going to give it away so someone who missed the giveaway could use it. But it says it can't be put in a giveaway. Maybe they did put in a block for IG mass giveaways? Except there's a different IG mass giveaway that's occupying several pages of the giveaway section for the last few days, so idk.

If IG would just finally put in an ability to hide giveaways for games you don't want, it would at least make it so when there's several pages of the giveaway section filled up by just one game, you could at least get rid of that by hiding all giveaways for that game. I don't understand why IG has not put in a function like that. It is a BASIC feature of any site that does giveaways like this, to be able to hide games you do not want. It is a failure on IG's part that they do not have this in.

Now that the IG Helper plugin is no longer working (probably forever, because I think redsparr0w got disgusted with stupid decisions IG made with the site), IG really needs to pick up the slack and put in more of the basic convience features that the IG Helper used do for them. It's good that they made it so the main giveaway page now tries to hide giveaways you've entered, as that was probably the single most essential thing they needed to put in. But hiding of unwanted games is a close second.

One reason you can't put a particular game into a giveaway is because too many of the game are already active as a giveaway.

This one in particular was deleted from Steam (alone with other Zonitron games), so it's impossible to create giveaway for it unless you use hacks (and some people do - I saw giveaways for Zatvor and Sleengster just yesterday and they were deleted over a month ago)

It doesn't matter, was locked for months before the removal despite being guaranteed. Also, if by "impossible" you mean that "since Steam page no longer exists, the game info can't be accessed"... well, being a MGA I think IG already has the necessary info stored for it. What matters here is whether keys of deleted games can still be claimed on Steam. If yes, there's no reason why it shouldn't be able to given away here.

Anyway, another example is Merri Puzzle. It's still on Steam, my key is guaranteed but just tried, still can't giveaway. There also doesn't seem to be any other giveaways so it's not flooded at the moment.

Yes, keys for games removed from Steam, like the Zonitron/Silicon Echo can be redeemed still. The games will NOT count toward games count (no +1 game owned), the achievements do not count toward your total achievement count (on Steam or on astats), and the ones with Trading Cards will still drop them, but you cannot sell the Cards, only Trade them or turn them into tiny numbers of gems per card. And the devs cannot make more keys for the games through Steam's key system. So what IG is selling at full price (highest prices the games sold for while they were on Steam), or using for MGA's, are essentially worthless leftover keys/games that will not boost your stats on Steam or astats, and cannot be card farmed for cash profits. You also cannot sell emotes and backgrounds from the games if you create a badge using the TC's, just 10 gems for each or Trade. Not sure though if the badges actually still count in your overall badge counts on Steam or astats.
