and fwiw, the key was valid and legit, unless what dannorder said above happened(which never has for me at least)

i wish i knew who got me banned yesterday.
Just bought like 300 keys and put up 150.
Now im banned. Well ill def stop giving away keys since its nothing but a hasle.
And theres always 1 in 100 who have given me a negative now.

It's so annoying you can't see your giveaways created when u get banned.
You have no way of contacting that user or anything.

You loose access to your auctions even though u can still pay for silver..!!!

Same to me before.
I got banned some days.
No any way can see who give me negatives.
When giveaways back, I notice one thing thst is some giveaways gone when you banned.
EX. IF you ban since Monday to Friday.
Your create OR join giveaways all can't see if it END at this time.
It disappear at giveaways profile.
I don't know do they fix it or not.

There always someone give no reason negative and decline any communicates.
Only help high level can decrease those people and use blacklist

E-mail support to unlock your account. Its happened to me before and will happen again. I tend to stick to guaranteed giveaways mostly nowadays due to the a small minority of people ruining it for the majority. Use your balacklist for those people.

Already did. also tested the keys on my wife's steam. activated fine. So at least he cant give it to someone else now.

Please tell that to support. They NEED to acknowledge that people are abusing the feedback system. Screenshots showing you do it would be helpful.

EDIT: Actually, even after the fact, you could show the date the game was added to your account, and show a video of doing a key account request with Valve. Support will *HAVE* to acknowledge at that point that people are dicking around.

See my post on another thread. I got a bad key from *****gamer2014 in a giveaway recently too. Check my rating, and several people here can vouch for me. I'm not some scammer. Something is wrong somewhere. No idea what it is.

I also wonder sometimes if non working keys for a person can be because of region differences. Some keys will only work in the buyers region and will tell you its invalid if a person in a different region tries to use them. I know this because I was trying to give a key to one of my good friends before who lives in a different country he said he tried it and it didn't work. He copy pasted the exact key I gave him so I know it wasn't a typo then a few minutes later I tried redeeming the key on my steam account and it worked. Only thing I can think of is region differences.

I stopped doing giveaways months ago cause of this very reason, not worth the headache of going through support if i get another false negative, so not giving anything else away til an actually solution to false negatives happen, a blacklist isnt that solution, not only is it limited in number but alot of the arseholes that give fale negatives have multiple accounts to being with.

You don't get the message the key is duplicate, you get the message the key cannot be redeemed from Steam..

Well if the key was bad then why did you ignore his frined request that make you look bad in places, better yet why didn't you contect him in frist places you do know that we can pre-check key if we ready own that game but sometime the store them self do get bad keys here and there when we buy them and we could have req a new key if that was the case.
Hell some people even make mistake in dbl registered or steam system was bog down or slow at time of registered it where it come back as all ready registered and those people didn't realized that it was all ready add to there steam libaray becuases they are to lazy and didn't check I even had this happing to me.
Hell even I made mistake and giveaway a key that I had all ready registered and didn't realized it.
Also there this new problem which are region lock game


Hi Bob Sacamano you should not make your steam profile private this make you look like scammer hiding behind a wall, in this case I agree with ^7??????????, Beside there no danger in open up your profile as you see my profile has been open up all most 13 years and not ocen did I ever had a problem with it like this.

Just because someone wanna have privacy doesnt mean they are scammers. My friend uses a dummy steam account here on indiegala just because of this.
A steam account actually contains alot of information if ur farming info, like commercial interests, friends and so on and on.

That funny that not what I see a round here if look scammer also refer to any that is cheater or like give away fake game with high coin count
