Negative feedbacks penalty

You might want to read this thread: https://www.indiegala.com/forums/topics/683

False negative feedback is a problem that the mods don't believe is a problem.

Then again, so is key farming, at least up until nobody who isn't key farming stops bothering to give away games, at which point they might stop and notice.

... That said, if you were giving away a game that you got for free like a beta key, or you were abusing the bundle link, that might be a reason why you were given a negative feedback even with a valid key, as stated in that thread.

I can live with that, i will just stay away from this website then, never buy anything again.

At least they could have left a message or inform another way.

Anyway, i don't understand why negative feedback matters more than positive and why they even care. This seems quite rigged.

I gave games that i got for free, but i've never thought of that as problem since there are a HUGE amount of free games giveaways and apparently IG does nothing to prevent it.

I also didnt find anywhere a rule that warns us about the consequences of creating these kind of giveaway (only the thread you mentioned, but thats pretty informal and not easily accessible for the users)

They probably did leave feedback, but you just can't read it, because IndieGala's so screwed up that they require you leave a feedback message for every giveaway, but don't have any way for anyone to actually read the feedback, lol!

They're also totally serious about cracking down on people who recieve negative feedback, but don't give a crap about people who give it out even if they have no reason for it, or for flagrant key farming abuse to the point that it's both impossible to find anything in a giveaway that you can't get for free elsewhere much more conveniently, as well as making the idea of giving any non-free game away just seem stupid. It's a system perfectly designed to be completely useless and make all its users hate the whole website.

It really sucks.

I threw on all my spare keys, because why not? Didn't think it worth holding on to them when someone else could use them to increase their library, and hadn't the slightest idea I might lose access to the whole giveaway system if a couple of people had a problem/decided to be vindictive tools.

I made 14 giveaways, the last time I checked 12 of them didn't bother to give any feedback, and the other 2 gave negative. I've no way of knowing whether they inexplicably couldn't use my keys, or if they were just trying to push genuine users out of the system to make it easier to farm. And now, I'm shafted out of the whole scheme.

Awesome. If I'd known that creating giveaways was opening the door for random users to push me out of the system, I'd never have bothered in the first place. Wish they'd have put a notice on the giveaway section of the account, at the very least...
