I think you passed on a good offer, but that's up to you. matrixdll has a history of numerous trades and plenty positive feedback, you're just starting out and not everybody wants to trade with newcomers. I think you will be waiting a long time for new trades to appear, but still your choice and your prerogative to turn anybody down.

Advice for the future from me: if you get a trade offer here on the forums, ask the person to contact you on Steam and if you're 100% sure your keys work (are from an official store like Indiegala or come from a bundle), tell that person in Steam chat where your key is from (which store) and ask them to say the same (where their key is from) -> then close the trade. but you gotta trust people, especially if they have good reputation - matrixdll has +42 rep, that's a very large amount if you ask me. otherwise you are never gonna trade with anybody
