New Users: How To Change your Profile name or avatar

Hi.

When you first join indiegala you get assigned the username of your social oauth provider you used ( google or Facebook ) or,
if you registered via form you get probably an automatic generated username and avatar.

If you want to change it just:
- go to your profile and edit it.
or
- go to your profile and link your steam account ( in that case you will get username and useravatar from your steam account )

Please try again, we just uploaded a new fix. change name in indiegala profile then logout, login and go back to forum.

When i try to change my avatar to one i am uploading, i get an error "e 130" i am within the 150x to 3000x range (my upload is pretty small like 150x) but i keep getting the error. so im trapped with just the default icons till something is done about the upload avatar option help?

I'm having the same issue. If you link your Steam to your IndieGala profile and sync the user data, you'll have your Steam avatar here. But if you just want to change your avatar without the linking, you'll get that error message. I managed to upload a different store profile avatar in the past, but it refuses to get synced with the forum profile...

No matter how I changed profile name, link/unlink steam or even sync, it just still shows the old name.

i think it has to do with the name for your google account

I registered using my email address and it's nowhere close to it I think the forum profile name is randomly generated if it's created using the indiegala account.

Probaboy cache. Try updating your cache so avatars and all cached images get refreshed.
