Hello there,

We are expanding to a new era. We want to make the showcase/freebie library more convenient and accessible to everyone, as well as to bring new features and functionalities. But this just the beginning. With your help we will be able to achieve the ideal client, maybe even surpass it, so thank you in advance for all of your kind opinions or constructive criticism.

Feel free to mention any potential problems or ideas, what you like or dislike, what you would like to see changed or improved. Each one counts.

Download the Indiegala Client here.

Please keep all feedback related to the IG Client only.

It's a great idea, having your own official client. I'd still try to make the showcase/freebie library a little more convenient and accessible (search bar might be nice there).

That said, the installer does not prompt the user for a location, it automatically updates, with seemingly two frozen windows (the "Current version" and the login windows), then Windows notification popup comes up stating that there has been an update and that the update will be applied when the client is closed. Then the client closes on its own, without anything to let the user know what is happening.

When it's done, I relaunched the client, tried to log in, and... nothing. I entered my email & password, clicked the "I'm not a robot" box, followed through with the reCAPTCHA, the clicked "Login" and ... it sat there until the reCAPTCHA timed out.

I closed the client, and tried again, same results. It won't let me log in, the Login button doesn't do anything. Task Manager shows 6 threads for IGClient, with one listing as "Not Responding".

By the way, when the client self-updated, it's at 1.5.24, according to the background non-login window.

Hi!
I have the same problem as you. Have you figured out how to login? Because I've tried everything you said and it didn't help.

I haven't done anything different, but it just let me in when I tried again, just now

Edit: Some of the "related" video links are kind of ... off? Out of the 5 youtube video links, only ONE has anything to do with the game (looks like a Portuguese review of the game). As for the others: possibly-pirated full anime episode (with people in swimsuits?), a video from some kid showing what she got for Halloween, and a couple of ads for adult coloring books featuring "Little Witches".

Is this client doing a YouTube search for videos related to the game page that's open, by any chance? Might want to be careful with how this is done, if so.

I am having the same problem too. Is this client code open-source? If yes, I might be able to help debug the problem in Electron.

It's working now... just you can't join any giveaways as somehow just the client logs in.
Library isn't working if you once leave it.
I think there is a cookie forward from the igclient to the hp missing maybe?

Hey Everyone, we gave a look at the login issue, it should be fixed, can you let me know if you are still unable to login or if it's solved?
I am able to login now. And access my game library. I tried downloading a game already present in my library - Syberia. It was rather slow to download 1.1 GB - 15+ mins compared to downloading the zip archive of the game via the browser in 3 mins. And then after download, the client can't launch the game and shows an error. Screenshot attached. I am running the IG Client v1.5.30.

I am still unable to log in to the client and I have updated to version 1.5.31.0. I pass the Captcha test, I enter my email address and password, but when I click on Log in, nothing happens.

But then again, the website is acting a bit weird for me. Firefox is my default browser, and I'm logged into Indiegala on Firefox and can consult my account, but when I try to go to the forum, I'm not logged in, and if I try to log in, my password is refused...
So I tried with Chrome, I logged in to indigala with my email and password, then went to the forum, and I'm normally logged in and can post this reply.

Hi Aiwa-rikiaR,

You can try login into the client now. (v1.5.32).

I'm on 1.5.33, the reCAPTCHA times out waiting for the Login to happen (and, today at least, it hasn't happened - can't log in, the client seemingly just sits there).

Edit: After completely uninstalling and reinstalling, it just let me in. Is there any way to get a log or something, to better see what's going on?

Hi Aiwa-rikiaR,

You can try login into the client now. (v1.5.32).
Alright, so I launched the client, it installed the update which was 1.5.33, entered my email, password, solved the captcha, and then I intended to click once, but I clicked twice on login by mistake (I think) and it actually logged me in (I was a bit surprised since there was no visual effect indicating it was doing anything and it happened very quickly), but there was also a window with an error message and some sort of exception. I closed that somewhat reflexively before taking a screenshot and then I thought I should actually try it again to see if I could reproduce it and provide that error.

So I logged out, relaunched the client, and it had my account, which I clicked on, and it just had this thinking circle for a while but it didn't log me in. So I cleared account, tried it again, but I'm once again stuck at the login window and the captcha just expires before anything happens.
I figure I'll uninstall the client and instead of installing it just for my user account, I'll install it for all users which requires admin rights (I uninstalled it from the windows settings first to remove the first installation), but again, it's the same login behaviour where I can't actually progress forward and log in through the client.

Looking at the task manager I can't really see any igclient process that sticks around after I close it so there doesn't appear to be anything buggy there that could block the normal functionality of the client as far as I know. I don't know where useful logs might be to figure out what's going on.

So yeah, I managed to log in just the once, but it hasn't worked since and I've tried a few times to relaunch the client and try again to see if it'll go through.

Installer linked here was instantly outdated. Mandatory update right away? Why not link that updated installer?
Updated files went into AppData\Local\Programs\IGClient whereas I wanted everything in Program Files\IGClient where the outdated version remains... Install size doubled!? (Admin rights were granted automatically for the initial install, but NOT for the update.)
IGClient is a bad shortcut name, also it has no working icon in start menu.
Should NOT title your window "Login Page" it breaks my password manager. (Auto entry)
Captcha was annoying as hell. Fine for one time registration, NOT for each time I'm logging in.
Also it only appeared AFTER I clicked login, immediately throwing an error in my face.
Login button does nothing. I can't even use the app. (Username, password, captcha all correct, yet no login.)
Client stays in memory (keeps running) even after closed. No this is not a tray icon, but a resident exe 100% hidden from user.)
Uninstall did nothing except erase a shortcut. All app files stayed in program files, and in appdata roaming
Also this spam is seriously going to reside in my temp folder from now on?

A new set of such files get recreated each time on program start. They have identical content but different filenames.

Edit: I don't know how but got login to work!!!

Sadly the top banner ads don't even work, the info page links to 404 error:

Two menu items link to the same page:

Most pages end up showing this message:

😎 Many new cool features are coming to the Indiegala Client soon...

Meanwhile, to access this section please login on your browser.

Some of the future updates that we are working on are:
- bringing the latest Indiegala freebies, deals and news in an easy to find, simple to access form;
- allowing in-client store/bundle purchases in a fast, convenient and reliable way;
- permitting access to your Indiegala library and all of your purchases via the client in an improved way;
- implementing functionalities that allow users to participate in the various Indiegala activities (giveaways, quizzes, gameplaly challenges etc.);

Another broken link in the app.

I do NOT like C:\IGClientGames\ as the default install path.

Edit: Sadly the successful login was a fluke. Was never able to log in again. Spinner of forever-death. + Clear accounts button does nothing when clicked.
